We have 2 Switches. One is untouched with official firmware (OFW). The other has CFW. I will call these "original" and "hacked" I guess, since the hacked one can boot OFW and CFW.

Keep in mind that I own the game cartridges, but on the hacked Switch, I typically just play games from SD for convenience. I prefer to keep the hacked switch in CFW, because it's inconvenient to connect the jig and USB-C to the computer.

There was a savegame on the OFW Switch that I wanted to play on CFW.

I booted the hacked Switch to OFW. Then, I was able to move the savegame from the original Switch to the hacked Switch. It works fine, but then I have to boot to OFW to play the game and then reboot back to CFW to play the other games I usually play.

Is there a way to get the savegame onto the CFW? If so, how can I do that?

If I really can't do that, is there a good way to easily reboot back and forth between CFW and OFW (without hooking anything up to the Switch)? Other family members will play it, and they'd need to be able to do this without using the RCM jig and USB-C tether or any of that.

More or less you use this but in reverse: gbatemp.net/threads/edit-ofw-clean-switch-save-data-from-nand-backup-restoring-via-fusee-gelee-payloads.541081/

You will need hactoolnet and HacDiskMount

What you can do is create a EmuMMC partition on your untouched switch. Then install Atmosphere+Checkpoint on that one.
Grab the save file and transfer it to your hacked switch.

That's an interesting idea of how to tackle the problem. I've actually never even checked to see if that untouched switch is hackable or not. Thanks tend57!

There is this you can try, there aren't any easy way to switch between OFW and CFW without a modchip to allow you to dual boot.

This seems to be the "normal" way to do it. I was hoping for something much easier and less involved, but that may not be possible. I'll keep hoping that someone else comes along and says "Easy, just do ___" until I get a chance to actually try some of these. I got super busy after posting the original question.

Thanks guys! Keep the ideas coming!

Another way would be (maybe) to backup clean NAND, then you use Homebrew on the Switch to extract save files. After, you restore clean NAND.

(I don't really know if it is very practical, but I thought it might be worth a try if I said this.)
