The PS1 core feels sped up after updating to the latest nightly build of RA. Timers in fighting games are way faster than what they should be.

Is it like this for anyone else or just me?

If you switch to the switch video driver (to get rid of video stutter) how on earth do you get the game to display properly. My games are now in the top left of the screen , using about 10 percent screen space and no settings I change make any difference

I just updated from 1.8.5 to 1.8.8. Now when I use Mupen64plus-next on 16:9 adjusted every game stutters mightily, including OoT.

I tried with the 1.8.5 config file, and it stutters. I tried deleting the config, along with everything else from 1.8.5, and going with default settings, and it still stutters. I tried with the non-default settings I had used with 1.8.5 (Noise emulation: false; Framebuffer emulation: false; Depth buffer to RDRAM: FromMem; Frame rate: Full speed), and it still stutters. At 4:3, everything runs fine. At 16:9 adjusted, it stutters.

I deleted everything and put my old 1.8.5 back on, which I had saved to PC before updating, and it works fine as before.

Any ideas?

Why are you using 16:9 adjusted instead of simply 4:3?
Try deleting every CFG inside /retroarch/, that includes subfolders too.
If that still doesn't do it, grab the latest nightly build from the buildbot, rename your /retroarch/ folder to anything else (retrobak) and copy a fresh retroarch folder from the buildbot too.
If that works, then simply copy over your thumbnails, playlists and savefiles over to the new folder from the old one.

16:9 adjusted gives true widescreen. It looks great. You never use it?

I use 16:9 (not adjusted).
I feel that for N64/PSX and onwards, using 16:9 is not bad at all compared to anything before N64/PSX.
I do use the original aspect ratio depending on the console for everything else, but from N64/PSX and onwards, it's all 16:9

Sorry! I wasn't specific! I'm talking about the Mupen64plus-next core. I need to edit my first comment!
