Nintendo Switch 10.0.3 firmware update is available

It's time for an update! Nintendo has just released a Switch firmware update for 10.0.3, continuing the rapid-fire small updates we've been seeing ever since version 10.0.0 went live back in April. As expected, it's time to get your dedicated stability joke notebook out and bust out your favorite lines, because this is the ever typical stability-focused update. You can also check out the yls8 report, which shows that SystemUpdate, CertStore and SystemVersion were all updated.

Ver. 10.0.3 (Released May 25, 2020)
General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.

Well, at least Nintendo knows how to make their console stable, unlike the server they're keeping all their source code on...
I get the joke, but it seems that the Switch's ever-growing stability and ironclad security and telemetry are Nintendo learning from all their prior lessons.
Too easy to hack? Spam telemetry so that almost anyone using CFW can get banned easily.
Security breach? Lock shit down IMMEDIATELY and increase stability ASAP.
Too many leaks? Lock. Shit. DOWN.

THAT'S THE EXACT PROBLEM I'VE BEEN HAVING! HOLY SHIT!
but which model switches are you both on?

OG , patched mariko , lite?
maybe there are revisions and not all models are using the same wfii card?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

does it break SXOS ?

i kinda hope it does, haven;t heard from Gary and these minor updates usually bring him out of the woodwork with news of other things

I was actually getting an error where my Switch would crash when trying to wirelessly pair joycons sometimes. Hopefully whatever caused that was fixed. It only started happening after firmware 10.0.2

I wonder if this’ll fix the connection issues I’ve been having since 10.0.0 dropped.

Man, I thought I was the only one being affected by Nintendo's shitty broken updates. After updating to FW 10.0.2 I could not establish (and still cannot) a stable internet connection. Whereas every other device did not have any problem whatsoever. The Switch must have the worst internal wireless adapter ever. Even being as near as possible to the router the connection is shit.

It is unlikely that this update would fix the various connection issues some people are reporting here. This updates only deals with CA SSL certificates, so it's likely to be something else, such as another Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device interfering, or if 5 GHz signals are being used instead of 2.4 GHz ones, the signal is not strong enough. This can be fixed by getting a USB (3.0) Ethernet adapter, which must have the ASIX AX8817X or the ASIX 88772 chipset. The other alternative is to move to a location not being blocked off by too many walls from the Wi-Fi source in case 5 GHz is being used.

The thing is that my Switch had been connecting just fine up until 10.0.0 came out. Nothing has changed with my router, nor my house.

Exactly, I have also not changed anything at all. Still, after updating to 10.0.2 nothing worked anymore. I do not know why, but after updating to 10.0.3 everything works good again. It should not make any difference, maybe my NAND was not good anymore? I restored it for the update.

10.0.3 is one of these minor updates that doesn't bring in a lot except for the certificate changes I mentioned earlier. It is likely that games and sigpatches will continue to work on this version until another major or minor update (changing *.x.x or x.*.x, respectively) is pushed out.
Yeah, that's what I saw with Fire Emblem: Three Houses, back when I cared about it.
x.x.? updates didn't affect the save editor or game mods; x.?.x updates did.

Wow, all these stability jokes, your sense of humor is the most stable of all. :)

Seriously now, my switch is banned how do I still get these little stability updates? I had to manually put on the first 10.x with choidujournx (I wanted to try the button remapping) but since that one I got the 2 'stability' ones pushed automatically. Seems weird to me..

Anyone else w/ banned switch notice that?

Some bans still makes you able to get updates. It all depends on what kind of ban they give you.

Ah, maybe thats what it is then. I can't remember now if I tried to get 10.0 or if I just assumed it wouldn't work. Or is it possible I could get the update from installing a new NSP? Asking for a friend..
