thanks buddy that’s where I got the downloads from....followed the instructions but the trees I’m after don’t show
Select the custom list on the far right drop-down box
Pick a tree
Spawn to slot
Ignore the palm tree in the shot with stars, you can't add stars to palms, that's me playing/testing.
The money tree is used for all variants.

IMO it's very irresponsible for anyone to distribute these hacked trees as it's also putting someone else's island at risk.
IMO you don’t have to use them. No one is putting anyone at risk it’s up to you if you use them or not

Right... Except not everyone knows that these trees are hacked and the risks involved (as the recipient). I've even seen them for sale on ebay - you think those sellers actually declare "oh btw these are totally hacked"?

I know that they're not legit and I would never give them to anyone else.

I don’t have a point you come on here saying it’s irresponsible the guys that made both programs do it for fun and for people who know what they doing to use that’s my point without you coming on here calling it irresponsible.

I quoted someone with a screenshot showing an NSO ban from having star fragment trees planted on their island. My exact words were "IMO it's very irresponsible for anyone to distribute these hacked trees as it's also putting someone else's island at risk."
Do what you like to your own island; get your own account banned, it's whatever. Planting hacked trees on someone else's island, especially if they don't know that the trees are hacked, and getting banned as a result = irresponsible.

Totally agree, it would be irresponsible to sell , distribute or use any of this without some kind of warning.
If someone is informed that it's risky, particularly 'Star Trees' , these can't be obtained any other way, other than by hacking/cheating, it's their choice
if they want to use them.
Same goes for critters and feelings wheel, unless you get these legit they don't register, unless you edit the flags for Critters using NHSE.
Any poking of memory using editors or cheats could be picked up quite easily if Ninty have the mind to put a bit of code in the next patch / DLC to
either disable, detect, warn or just remove any items that aren't legit. They have patched their own msitakes / exploits.
If I were Ninty, I would include them in the game so you can grow your own by planting any item where the ground is glowing.
Stars are not easy to get so it's another challenge, very rewarding and they look pretty.
Right , wrong , indifferent, it sells more consoles and brings in new generations to game playing and development.
Personally, I don't have a ban, I don't go online in case I want to at some stage by re-flashing my saved Nand.
I do not condone piracy, I own the game and this for me is educational and enhances my playing experience.
Everyone has different reasons for wanting to use these tools, for the vast majority, they know and understand the risks. We're here to have fun,
share knowledge and experience. Everyone is welcome, has their own opinions and gives their time freely, for which I am truly grateful.
There are far more risks using CFW
We can all contribute in our own way, even if its giving thanks, advice or just dropping by to share.

Agreed, increased the warning font so it's more visible, we have a lot of newbies pass by here.

if they want to use them.
