So i had been using sxos from the start, didn't manage to get a clean nand before using sxos but still manage to get a backup nand after. Was using cfw then switched to emunand. Never gone online with either ofw or cfw or emunand. Updated fw using choidujour.

Used it for 2-3 years before finally getting fed up with the issues of either mini sd card problems (legit sd card too, formatted a few times) or game installation problems (such as errors mid game, or unable to close game without getting an error thus unable to save game in Checkpoint, reload save game from checkpoint and getting error upon start game).

So anyways I decided just play in OFW with my legit downloaded/physical games, and using a fresh mini sd card without any of the piracy stuffs (downfall might be not restoring the backup nand). I went online, updated my switch firmware, went to the eshop, bought a game or 2, started playing animal crossing and was not having any issues with getting online in the eshop for a couple of weeks and all, until i attempted to connect to Nooklink in animal crossing. Wham! error 2124-4508: "The use of online services on this console is currently restricted by Nintendo". Banned. Even tried to call Nintendo to find out why i was banned cuz i thought i had been quite cautious but they said that the console has been detected with modifications and thus that's really it.

Moral of the story: You can never be too cautious... Even if you have been, trouble will always find you eventually. Don't go online on OFW if using CFW on that switch, use a fresh switch if going online instead. Stay safe people~

Taking the SD card out does not hide everything from Ninty. Unless you have a clean NAND backup to use before going online you can never be sure you won't be detected. I think there are all sorts of things hidden in the NAND that they check, possibly a list of all the games you have played. Also, if your fuse count does not tie up with your current firmware version that screams out to them that you have a hacked console.

Fuse count doesn't matter. Using XCIs is pretty safe. NSPs/cheats/hacks/mods will get you banned.
