To add some perspective, this Chapter ends in Episode 8 of the anime, with an interesting twist at the end. This scene ends in the beginning of Episode 6.There are a lot of inbetweens here that aren't shown in the anime itself, that give these characters a lot more complexity. I have attached some screenshots from Scene 16 that I've been working on.
Note: The Screenshots are Spoiler-free! If you've seen the anime, you won't be seeing anything spoiler-heavy.

The subsequent scenes for the rest of this chapter will not take as long to translate, thankfully. I hope to push out a full Chapter patch release within a few weeks. Just stay tuned.

Hi Fafnira, I appreciate your enthusiasm with helping with this. I have also started from a place of not knowing how to do any of these translations, so I empathize with you.
I would be happy to help you find a way to navigate through this translation process as well. Reply/Message me on where you want start with this. I can help with finding the dialogue files, decoding/encoding the dialogue files, re-inserting them into the game, etc.
If you started translating the game into English, please start translating from Chapter 01, as I am currently working on Chapter 00 (Madoka's Chapter) and wouldn't want you doing work that I've already done and making it almost unnecessary, unless you just want to get your hands dirty and gain some experience. It's definitely fair game if you're doing it in German.

I once tried to translate the first scene into German, which worked all right (probably because I translated the English into German), but while testing I found out that the letters "ä", "ö" and "ü" can not be displayed in game.
If I have time I would even try to translate the first Scene of Chapter01

I recommend you all save in-game after playing Day 16! Save states will not work if you save during a dialogue sequence, so be sure to save in-game at an appropriate time!

hi, i'm having trouble installing this patch. i've never emulated a psp game before so it's most likely something i'm doing wrong on my part, but i followed the instructions up to dragging & dropping the archive.cpk and install.cpk files, and i can't figure out how to drag & drop them? i'm not sure where the directory for the iso file is either ;___: any help would be greatly appreciated bc i have the tradukosoft translation, but it ends around day 2 of madokas route!

Here's an updated set of instructions to how to update the game.
By "drag and drop", you could also call it "copy and paste", except that you highlight /select both the "archive.cpk" and "install.cpk" files and, while they're both selected, "drag" them from the updated folder you downloaded, to the /PSP_GAME/USRDIR directory that you have opened, using the WQSG_UMD.exe program I provided.

1) Open WQSG_UMD.exe
2) Click on "ISO".
3) Open your "Madoka Magica Portable" ISO file USING the "WQSG_UMD.exe" program.
4) Navigate to /PSP_GAME/USRDIR . You should be able to see 4 folders, the
"archive.cpk" and "install.cpk" files.
5) Drag and drop (Copy and paste) both "archive.cpk" and "install.cpk" files from the
Madoka Magica Portable Update folder unto the directory of the ISO file (/PSP_GAME/USRDIR).
DO NOT DRAG the entire folder unto the game. Only drag just the two files I mentioned on this step.
I recommend doing both of them one at a time.
6) Close WQSG_UMD.exe once the progress bars go away.
7) Open the ISO file/game image on PPSSPP. Enjoy.

Wow, that looks extremely gorgeous. Where do you think this should be displayed on? If anything, I think it would look great within the game itself, but I would like to hear what you have to say on this.

I'lll be keeping tabs on this, very closely. It's been a while since I watched Madoka, but if you see anything that seems hard to translate for some reason (context within the series making a phrase too vague, cultural things that have no direct English translation, etc. - no coding, sadly) I'm almost always available to help!

Alright, here's a quick update to the progress so far.

The good news:
-Chapter 1 is 99% complete!
All that's left is the 1%: testing.

-All the Magical Girls' Labyrinth dialogues are complete.
-All the descriptions of the Magical Spells found in the Pictorial Book are now aesthetically fixed. They're no longer "word-wrapping" in a weird way.
-The "Tips" graphics that show up during the "loading" sequences have been found and can definitely be translated and modified.

The (not so) bad news:
-As far as the "Tips" graphics go, I'm only running into a slight problem with them being show in-game. I don't think they're supposed to look like deep-fried memes when I only added some text and patched some parts (see the first attached picture). I'll figure out what I can do with the graphics and do my research on fixing this issue.
I want the graphics done, hopefully in tandem with this Chapter update that I will push out. The Tips are really helpful for people to understand the game, whether you're familiar with the series or not. I'll make it a slightly higher priority before heading into the next Chapter of the game.

That covers pretty much everything. I'll keep you all posted. Thank you all.

I can definitely see the graphic being used when booting up the game and from the menu to select the PSP Game to play (I don't know what it's properly called). The main menu is pushing it though, and I plan to keep the original one as it is.
I appreciate the little music project you worked on. I can't say I'm too fond of it, but I do like the effort you put into it. Keep it up.

Thank you. If I run into any terms that I find confusing (which I've definitely had to work with, since they're very obscure at times), I will let you know, at the very least.

Wow, since 2014? That's... a very good while. I hope not to take another 6 years for this then lol, I don't think it'll be that long from me.

Okay, small update on the whole "Tips" images thing:
-I found a way to encode the images back into the game, as intended, and not deep-fried. I will prioritize this aspect of the game for now.
Here are a couple of images I've worked on, and I'll also add a bonus one pertaining to accessing the debug mode of the game, which I have no clue how to do so. If anyone can find a way into it, that'd be awesome. Not that I have any immediate need for it, but I just think it'd be cool if it was available.
-Testing is still under way. There are some hiccups, but very much not extremely troublesome.

If anyone still has any questions or even trouble installing the patch, please feel free to reach out to me.

You can now play Madoka's Chapter in its completion, with a healthy reminder that the "Extra Route" (Homura's Chapter) is also completely playable (was complete by Tradukosoft a good while ago). The installation instructions are included in the .zip file.

I'm really glad you took this translation project, I'm also someone who was following Tradukosoft since 2014, since I'm really into this series.
Now I guess there's no choice for me but to anxiously wait for your updates, I hope you can stay motivated

Hi, I love this project you're working on, but I have a problem. The words are smooshed and some letters are missing. This occurs on everything except the main menu, the chapter names, and the beginning where it says the characters in his game are completely fictional. I downloaded the rar from Emuparadise, which is all Japanese I think, got the ISO by extracting it, and I did the instructions by doing archive.cpk first. Thanks and thanks for making the translation!

I had this error too and I fixed it by using the English ISO from Traduko and installing the new files from this project

Thanks, but where do you get it? CDromance? I heard a while ago from a Reddit post that CDromace has malicious ads, but have they removed them or was that a lie or something?
