Hello, I recently abandoned a project involving a New3DS, because apparently the console was faulty.
My idea was to start doing some software mods and play around with them.
At the moment I own only a 2DS with a CFW. The mod was not made by me, when I bought the console it was already like this.
So it has a Luma 10.0.1-c913de1, and when I try to update it it says "DOWNLOAD FAILED" and on the bottom screen "FATAL: Could not get Location header for 3xx reply Ret Code: ded92". I don't know if this information can be important but I wrote it anyway.
As a newbie in these things, I wanted to do small steps, so I thought initially about connecting the device with bootNTR and control it from the computer and see what I can do, but I can't make it work.
1) I opened FBI>Remote Install>Receive URLs and grabbed the console's IP, then I press B to go back and exit.
2) Then I press L+Down+Select on home menu to open Luma's config menu (sorry I don't know the exact word) and I go Miscellaneous>Start InputRedirection, I activate it and again I press B and I exit.
3) Finally, I installed BootNTRSelectorMode3Pablo.cia and launched, it is all automatic, then it asks me to press Home to launch a game. When I press Home I go back to the menu, but if I try to open any other application or game, the console asks me first to close BootNTR, and I don't think this is correct I mean from what I understood it should run in background?
Also, I don't know if this matter, but if I press X+Y and select "Enable Debugger" I get error "svc_controlMemory failed: c860180a"
Despite all of these "problems" I try to launch InputRedirectionClient-Qt on my PC anyway, I put on the left my IP and...nothing happens.
I even tried with WonderTrade Bot https://projectpokemon.org/home/forums/topic/45226-free-public-wonder-trade-bot-usum/
and still after putting the IP it can't connect, tried both while on Home screen and while online ingame with connection to the internet.
Now I know with o3DS I can't stream, but according to the owner of the bot I should be able to use it even with a 2DS, he says "This software requires a 3DS, both old & new supported, with CFW/NTR & InputRedirection."
So yeah, I can't even to these basic steps, I can't make the connection between the 2DS and the computer. I may not be a hack-god but I think I should be able to do this 3-step thing.
I watched many videos on youtube but they are 90% New3DS and they all talk about using a Xbox controller...
I know this may be a very basic question, probably replied a thousand times (I searched for it though, no results), but I literally have no other places where to ask.
