worst part of that video and the other guy
is literally no one understand that the copper square is just a really shit sticker, you can peel it off and you get better thermal conductivity directly to the heatpipe. also the amount of thermal for that chip excessive.

*edit nvm the shielding is too think* still need to bend it

see here

and with shim removed there is enough pressure to screw the heatpipe directly to the die

another note is not really needed to keep the metal shielding it only supplied minor heat disappation because of the triple layer of thermal gunk they used to console

when i get my modchip gonna keep it gone for good and use a clear back for full view of the board.
I do hope the led can be disabled at least for the chip

Well at least he didn't make a jam sandwitch like other guys... in this case is very dangerous putting excesive thermal paste because there isn't any IHS and you can burn all the resistors... when I put thermal paste on PC I use the classic chickpea drop and spread with the headsink... but in this case i think I'm gonna use a spreader to put a very thin film... what about Grizzly Kryonaut?

Thanks a lot. I was looking for a video like that. I pre-ordered mine since day one. Now I finally feel confident it was the right choice. I can finally gauge the difficulty level of the installation and it's definetly something I can do.

Did you make that video?

They made it really easy didn't they. Def hardest part is removing heat shield LOL.

No i did not make that vid i am in the same boat as you wondering if i would be able to perform the install myself lol. However after seeing the vid i believe that it is something i am capable of now to just wait on a proper tutorial for any gotchas

Great. Mod*****rds just dropped off the 'net.

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed this. I was talking to someone in their chat last night, but they just kept telling me to "wait for me please" for over an hour. I had to give up and try again today, only to be greeted with another take down of the site. (happened a few months ago too.)

What they are not telling you is that the factory in Taiwan was served with an injunction banning them from sale , manufacture or distribution of these items.

Any monies paid from now on will be lost and if you have paid out for a preorder do a chargeback quick as its the only way you will see your funds again.
I'm sorry, but how stupid can you be? nintendo literally can not touch anyone in china seeing as how they have no anti-piracy laws.

Strange, even Axiogame has removed TX products from their website, and that shop is based in China....
Might be a little hard to get one of those, but since I live in Shanghai, I guess I'll find a way to buy one on Taobao :toot:

Do you think Nintendo could patch this or just brick the console with future software updates?

They once did something like this with the Wii where an update would brick modded consoles, it was update 4.2 I think. It wouldn't be something unheard for them to try then...

It could prove troublesome for them though. Different countries have different legal standings regarding hardware modding, and Nintendo purposefully damaging people's devices could land them on a legal grey area.

Isn't it that they have a hard copyright if it's their internal properties. But if it's forne they don't care?
I'm not an expert when it comes to international/ chinese law but you can be successfull if you are a western company. But I think that there is also a big "problem" with corruption, political agenda etc.
