There is no risk involved. It is simply just a way to bulk download. You can always remove the CIA and its ticket by deleting it in the "titles" section in FBI. Deleting an important title, or ticket does have its risk though. Like, don't go deleting FBI's title and ticket.

I instaled Digimon Re Digitize: Decode and the 1.1 Update using FBI (Just like i do with every game)
When i open the game the screen stays at the Nintendo 3ds logo for some reason.
I deleted the update and the game works just fine but i need it to connect online
I have also downloaded from different sources (both, the game and the patch) so that doesn't seem to be the problem.
I had it instaled before and i deleted it, and i remember i had the same issue but i don't know how i fixed it.

If you start the game without update does it ask you to update? If so use the eshop to update.
Not sure if this is right to ask here but here goes, I have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a way to make a QR code so I can download my custom cias I made from super ultimate injector? it's just annoying having to take my case off and unscrew the back of my 3DS XL to get to the SD card.
2. Checkpoint isn't seeing my Luigi's Mansion save for some reason. Any idea why?

Sometimes when I download a cia-file, there's also an update-cia-file to download. Do I need to download the update file or can the game by itself do an update? I remembering this being the case a while back.
Install the main cia. Then, if you would like you can see if you are able to officially download the update. If not, download the update cia, too.
Another reason why some provide the updates is because people have been banned from using the eShop. Making it hard to download updates. Assuming you are talking about pirated software, just do what you need.
Cia's made from users are not going to be able to update in the "official" way, though.

I bought it used, so I didn't install the stuff myself.
I'd like to update my Luma, but as I see it probably won't work this way as I need B9S.
Is it safe to use the guide titled "A9LH to B9S"?
Or what else should I do?
I don't want to brick my system, and I don't really know what is installed atm, or what steps should I do.
btw one of the main reasons I'd like to update is that DSi titles and TW++ doesn't work at the moment - I get a black screen.

right now you do have a9lh. which you would want to use a9lh to b9s. I believe it uses a dsiware game. Which means before hand to take a look at fixing twl firm which is also found on the godmode9 usage.
Do you mean TWLFix? I tried that, however I got an error message that it couldn't remove any of the listed titles (or something) when running it. So I am not sure, if it is ok that way, or not. Also, my 3DS has a system update it wants to do, and I am afraid that if I go to System update, like in the guide, it will update my 3DS instead of fixing TWL.
By the way, if I update to b9s and update my luma will DS games work, or TWL will need to be fixed either ways?

When you press a button during black screen, will it restart?
Hmm then i don't think TWL is corrupt because i had that problem when i downgraded it
My 2ds recently lost all the games and other apps from the dashboard. I formatted the memory card and copied back everything that’s supposed to be there after a fresh hack (it was a backup). Now the 2ds says it cannot read the software on the SD card.
What should I do as the console should still be hacked?
EDIT. Sorted now. Re formatted the sd card and all is good

I've just done a ctrtransfer on a brand new 3ds xl from japan to europe - everything seems great (although I have some Japanese notifications in the notifications area mixed with english ones for some odd reason)
My question is quite straight forward - Is it safe to system format a new 3ds that has been region changed ?

@peteruk, was this a virgin JPN n3DSLL that was region changed to EUR firmware using ntrboot?

If so, while it's perfectly safe to do so, you don't necessarily need to Format System Memory if that 3DS is accessing EUR region eShop for the first time. If you find it's blocked off from EUR eShop, either a previous owner or that seller lied about the n3DSLL being brand new, having already deflowered that n3DSLL -OR- you hacked that 3DS with an online method (ie, Seedminer) while it was still in JPN firmware, locking it to JPN only online services.

It was brand new never connected to anything, used ntr card hax to applt b9s, used gm9 to do eur ctr transfer and only then did I connect to internet and update to latest
I guess I'm wanting to system format to see if I can get shot of the Japanese notifications and now it's kinda 100% euro it will only display english ones after a format.
Edit... I've just tried to access the European eshop and I get the below error message
Does this mean I'm f*cked then ?
Can I still system format safely ?
