Hey Guys,
I'm in trouble with this one. I accidentally clicked 'update' on the update nag of an nsp installed on my switch. It then rebooted, enters hekate, show the atmosphere splash screens, but then shows a "A fatal error.....010041544d530000" black screen. I tried putting a fresh copy of atmosphere on, the one that worked before, but the error continues. I don't particularly want to format the memory card as it is 500gb. Any ideas?

I'm on firmware 10.0.1. The card is formatted in exFAT. Hekate v5.2.0. And the latest atmosphere build.

Thanks

If you indeed did a FRESH atmosphere install (meaning removing all CFW related files and getting fresh ones) and that didn't help, then your only option is restoring your back up via hekate... Or if you don't have any, you will have to manually do it with pc, there's a guide for it somewhere, just search.

Does that mean losing all the installed files?

Ok... I tried another memory card and the atmosphere boots fine. So I am now doing a complete format of the 500gb card and the PC is just hanging. IDK whether it is just taking ages because of the size of the card, if it has somehow been fried by nintendo, or it's some incredible coincidence that the mem card failed at that time. I'm going to leave it on over night. I'll keep u posted

Sounds like you killed your sd card. One of the reason why you should avoid exfat esp on the switch.

... or maybe your 500gb sd is not legit or something, anyway, yeah, try formatting it and checking for errors and bad sectors and stuff.

Ok did a complete format of the mem card overnight, did all the checks, and still doesn't work. I also looked for hidden files with check disk and deleted them. I would write it off as a fried card but my PC and other devices says the card is functioning perfectly. This is insane. Has anyone else heard of anything like this? I'm currently formatting in FAT32. Apart from that, I'm out of ideas... Any suggestions

Ok... it boots in FAT32. I'd rather have it in exfat to save having to split files. Does anyone know why exfat functionality has gone, and how to get it back

It hasn't got anywhere. Maybe you just lack exfat driver.

I fixed it. I just used a 2nd SD card to downgrade to 10.0.1 with choiDujour, then upgraded to 10.0.2 with exfat support.

Problem solved. I wish never formatted that SD card.
