Having a problem with paper Mario. In toad town if you try to go to the second screen it'll crash the emulator.
Hi, just had the same problem. Everything was okay during the prologue (just some graphical and sound related issues, and the framerate that wasn't always the best, but it's far from a problem for these kind of games), then Toad Town had a really low framerate (around 12-17 fps in the entrance) and finally the whole console crashed when I tried to go to the east side of the town. I'm using a standard N3DS. What should I do?

PS: Thank you for making that emulator, I can't play many games right now since I just have my 3DS so I'm really glad this exist!

This problem has already been addressed by the developer in a commit some time ago and will be fixed for the next release ;)

Me too! The app even crashes on my 2ds XL

It has been stated many times so I'm just going to tell you to check the first post, there is the solution for you both.

Look here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/check-verify-installed-version-of-boot9strap.483722/#post-7569279

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You'll need GodMode9 chainloaded. If the sha256 doesn't match any of those, or errors, then you have a9lh.
if you have a boot.bin or a arm9loaderhax.bin boot file is more a give away than having to check that for a9lh. Even pressing and holding Select to access the luma config page will display what version you are using. 7.0.5 or lower is a9lh. 7.1 is b9s v1.0 and higher is more likely to be recent b9s.

This is where I'm stuck. I've downloaded the rom from [add generic site] that gave me no problems in the past

I'm kinda late to the party, but hey, better late than never.
We've been waiting forever for something like this to exist. MasterFeizz, you are a godsend.

I played Mario 64 for a full 4 hours, jesus.
Might try out and hopefully play some other games tomorrow.
Might even contribute to the compatibility list.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
