I understand completely, that wasn't an attack on you or anything! :)
Those examples are either mint or refurbished, or come with an already expensive Pokémon game though...I got mine for cheaper.
Also, who knows how the COVID-19 situation is affecting demand of certain products and their prices on eBay...
Keep in mind people aren't going to buy the $100+ ones at those prices, they're still used and not worth it at all.

Update 3.2:
- Completely redid the UI, so it's cleaner and it looks cool.
- Completely redid some of the icons
- It looks much nicer now
- Added a bold font option for the ASCII text in an attempt help those with nearsightedness.

Thanks Sterophonick, definitely a step forward - but with some of what others liked in your original. A balance struck maybe.

use the ips screen, it's like $60 USD
Not sure why everyone is recommending this version of the gba, the ds lite is far superior and cheaper and also support ds games. I picked one up for 20 bucks on ebay.

Btw the new theme is very nice. Thank you for the continual updates.

Is there any way to set a default folder to open on boot? That way I could avoid the system and backup folders from showing on boot.
Also, the ability to set in the extra menu a 'default boot' type toggle, it would really streamline the experience.
Thank you again for all your hard work!

I don't feel a default folder is necessary, since hiding the folders using Windows Explorer will prevent them from being visible in the menu.

For a default boot type thing, write your game to the first slot of NORFlash, and hold L while booting, and it will automatically launch that game.

Oh thats neat, I'm using linux, so the way it hides folders is a little different. I'll have to borrow someone's windows machine (or figure out how that works on linux)
I understand (sortof) how NOR works, but I'm giving this flash cart as a gift with a ton of games on it, to someone who isn't super tech savy and might get confused by all the options.
Ideally, it would just show the folders for all the systems, and clicking on a game would launch it. No messing around.

Thanks!
I'll try a readme.
I'm having another issue, I had an older version of your fw and I swear it didn't do this, but now when I scroll through games it does a full redraw of the text on screen, causing it to flash quite a bit.
Here's what I'm talking about.

Pretty sure it's always done that.

Edit: Yeah, I just checked, it has always done that.

Update v3.3:
- Made a few tweaks to the UI
- New plugin: Sharp X68000 Music (.mda)
- New plugin for JPEG images.
  • This new plugin has support for zooming in and out and can support JPEGs of up to 2000x2000.
  • The catch being that it requires a certain format(s), that being YUV411, YUV111 or YUV100.
  • A tool is included to convert these images to a proper format, use the bottom option that just says JPEG.

Found a bug. Selecting a file from the recently played games list causes the clock to be drawn on top of the recently played text.

just an idea not sure if possible, but would would you be able to add some sort of overlay in games when things are being saved? so we dont need to count in our heads before turning off?

I don't think that's possible.
Your best bet is something like an activity LED mod.
