I'm amazed how difficult it is for about ten people to look over a patch of seven individual stickers bunched together, and get over those aesthetics, when it comes to evaluating a concept.

It works.
sdcard is easily accessible and swapable .
- and securely stored away.
Additional effort is minimal.
It doesnt get in the way while gaming or docking.
It costs 4 USD shipped.

It looks bad.

But the last part is fixed by sourcing any other sticker thats bigger. Or black gaffers tape. Or... The plan originally was to do it with one circle style adhesive sticker with the top cut off - but Aliexpress didnt supply ones with a big enough diameter. Hence optics.

Why this should now lead to fights over - but my carrying case approach is better, and 'some people dont care about style' is entirely beyond me.

Concept is easy enough, very workable - cheap, and in terms of usability better than all the alternatives you brought to the table (so now I'm stressing my gamecardslot, and adding an additional piece of mobile 3D printed kit, that also takes away my ability to store a gamecard and has to be handled separately?).

As I'm using my Switch only at home, I didnt mind patching together a grid of stickers for a first usability test - and thats what I photographed.

Because I seldomly look at the backside of my switch, while gaming, or docked, I now will make a point of it, to not change the first slapped together patch of adhesive stickers for another week, just out of spite.

Because what part of 'I didn't care about aesthetics', while first testing usability was so hard to understand?

I'm intrigued by the method of just dropping it into the gamecard slot. ;) Having a quick (push to) release sd card holder on the backside of your switch is still better usability wise.

Long winded way of saying, you all are wrong. ;)

You're welcome. ;)

I still can't see how that travesty is any better than just carrying/storing an SD card in a Switch case..

Is saving yourself 4 seconds compared to taking the card out of a case, on the few times per day you might want to swap cards, really that big of a deal..

You literally solved a problem, that never existed, in the worst possible way imaginable..

You never heard of glue?

This is the new console war.

Everyone wants to believe that their solution is the best, because they've bought into it.

Why is it better? No tools, no additional bags/cases, less effort while switching, faster, ...

Why is it worse? have an extra bump on the backside of your switch, that you'll never see and never touch.

Now people are wanting to get into fights, because they have great cases and are used to their routines.

Can any of this be any dumber?

Oh yes, then rhetoric is tuned up to 'travesty' because people for their lives can not separate 'what they see' from a concept. And if what they see is not aesthetically pleasing - their mind is made up, and no argument in the world will work on them anymore.

Oh how eager people are for anyone that would ask them - "Where could I get your carrying case, because you are obviously doing it right, and have much more fashion sense, indicated by you slapping the word travesty around at anything that conceptually different than the way you are doing things" - oh and please, could I get the CAD files - so I can print myself a solution thats then still not quite as elegant (still an elegant solution - I'm not against it) and more complicated to use, all things considered.

This reflects more on your individual characters than on anything else.

It's not android :O surprised. So it runs linux version of dolphin? is it hard to use? I know linux only as hard to use text based OS.
Yes it's a full Ubuntu Linux desktop installation. It may take some getting used to but there are lots of guides on GBATemp to get you set up.

There are really easy tutorials, in xdadev
The switch doesn't even have a keyboard man, for a command heavy OS.
Also I have my sd card in exfat. My entire idea is to run switch with ONE sd card.. So I guess my plan won't work from what im saying. They're saying you need seperate sd card.

You can dock the Switch and connect a USB keyboard and mouse (or Bluetooth with/without dock). But yeah it's not a simple process to have a combined SD at this point.
