Hi guys !

Seeking some help as I’m getting desperate about this ... tried to fold that paperclip in every way and it doesn’t work.

Trying to target pin 1 and 10 but keep getting that freaking Nintendo logo when booting !

Can you please guys help to check if I do anything wrong ? :)

I believe even if his console is patched, it can still go into RCM, the payloads just wont inject.

That's correct, it'll still be black screen but if using Tegrarcmgui it'll say "stash smashed with 0x0000" or something similar

Good or not, wait to get a proper jig instead of risking breaking your shit over a paperclip

Not enough skill points in crafting to make (and use) hand-crafted paperclip jig i guess.

p.s. I had been using it for months long ago and it worked like a charm until i finally decided to just buy a jig since it was only 3$ anyway. But since autoRCM became a thing, i've only used my jig like 1-2 times.

It’s more a lack of time and material to be honest. With the current pandemic it might take a while before I can get a jig here ... (Hong Kong)

you are in HK, multiple Jigs are sold on Alibaba plus various other sites with warehouse in HK. plus local shops options in stores. not all HK black market or pirate-scene shops are shut down.

are you using a plastic paperclip? /s

but yeah I have seen many damaged joy con rails from people using paper clips or badly 3d printed jigs

the RCM jig should slide in nice and easy like a joy con does, if there is any sort of force/pressure on the connector it can bend it and make the joy con not connect reliably

Well ... that’s what I was wondering. I’m using what looks like a regular paperclip. Thought there might be some coating or anything tried to scratch it a bit but no luck ... any test ideas in mind I can do to check if it’s plastic or not ?
