Well not necessarily needed. I was able to have a max out character and overpowered weapon on chapter 1

So I use atmosphere and all that for my Switch, and eject the SD card and put it into my laptop. I then use the Save Editor and modify the weapons I have. The skills appear, but Legendary doesn’t work for some strange reason.

Modify yourself a higher tier weapon with 5 stars.

Edit yourself a hero sword and give it 5 stars. You'll have more attributes than using a sword with the legendary attribute taking up the space
Okay. I’ll do that. Also, I had one other question, is it possible to make a sword out of thin air (metaphorically speaking that is) instead of modifying a current weapon?

Weird. I upgraded to steel, but it still won’t work! Guess I’ll just have to gather more weapons and use the smithy when it’s available.

Apologies. I left the project after the weapon editor. I was expecting people to figure out some offsets and post them here but no one did. Plus with other games and how crappy SXOS cheats ran with this game, it wasnt worth spending more time researching

Well, thank you for the response regardless.

I'm currently compiling my own discoveries, such as which bits do what in the weapon data. For example; 80 in the effective\bonus damage byte of the weapon will visually reduce it's Might without visually adding damage. I say visually because I'm pretty sure that it just modifies what Might and Effective symbols are present without modifying how the weapon behaves, which is instead controlled by the attributes—I will need to do more testing.

Another byte varies between 05, 09, 0D, 01 and 00, in which three of the four bits control the locked state, whether the weapon exists, and if the equiped icon *doesn't* show up. Yeah, that bit is on when the weapon isn't equipped.

Edit:
I found out how to add the Legendary effect. I also found out how to open the Mastery Sealed slots, which is located in the characters' data.
Well, not the boss personal weapons, I can't figure out which of the 15+ unused character slots are theirs.
I also found out that Lengendary and at least the copues of the Bonus-type Attributes don't actually do anything. Smithing Legendary will likely additionally add the flags depending on how many stars the weapon has.
How many flags can be set still need experimentation.

Is it possible to alter History Mode? For example, set all battles as 'beaten'?
That'd get rid of all those stupid restrictions (Spears Only, Hoshido Only, etc.) that have always bugged me.

i havent had time to change history mode. there wasn't much help i was receiving with this project other than the amazing save editors provided

Hi, for anyone looking for a save file with 100% completion of everything unlocked, here is my save file.

scenario0
- Lianna was the selected main character
- Difficulty set to Lunatic Classic (Although Lunatic can be changed)
- All DLC is included
- All units are at level 150
- All units have their unique weapon with Divine Favor and remaining six slots filled with optimal skills
- All supports are maxed out
- All badges, music, movies, portraits, character profiles, and costumes obtained
- All main story chapters are completed on all difficulties
- All history mode maps are completed with an S-Rank
- All units have all weapon, defense, and skill crests
- All units have the skills equipped I felt were optimal
