Amazing work. I hadn't had a streaming app work so well in my switch. Keep up the amazing work.
I just have one problem. When the switch enters sleep mode with the app open (not streaming) I can't wake it up afterwards. I mean. It isn't sleep, just a black screen I can't get out of unless I power off.

I got this as well.

Wouldn't it be possible for the PC to recognize it as a Switch Pro Controller and make the settings on Steam?
Steam allows you to use the gyroscope only when you press the left trigger, and to configure all buttons as the keyboard, some games do not work correctly configured as Controller more Mouse.

Tomb Raider (2013): sight is rotating, and is switched between control buttons and keyboard keys when using gyroscope as mouse.

Yeah, I am having some great performance, no lag from what I can tell. I just played Wii Punch Out, Mario Kart Double Dash, Donkey Kong Country Returns and had not one issue on any of those.

Basically, I have my PC hardwired to my Orbi Router, and then my Switch on Wireless.

Now I will say that Orbi routers are kick ass mesh routers. I bought it specifically so I don't get any issues in the house, and I actually feel like it paid off here.

DevL0rd, I think your name is justified. This app is tremendous. Complete game changer for me and the switch. I just beat Link's Awakening the other day and I was looking for something new to play. This will get me to finally beat those games I never beat before.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Man, can’t wait for someone to make an Xbox or PS4 remote play app for Switch. I know Sony sent out surveys about the possibility but I’m itching to play FF7 Remake on my Switch, lol.

Okay, so has this happened to any one else?

This thing works like a charm when the monitor is on. If I shut my monitor off, but leave my PC on and I launch a game (In this case Dolphin, but I also tried PPSSPPP) it goes to a black screen.

I am on Win10 64bit, using a GT 1030 with the newest drivers.

The interesting thing is that I can still hear the sound.

This is extremely exciting and you're making great progress. I'm on v 1.2 and I'm having extremely compressed audio no matter what I try to do. I have 80 mbps speed and a gtx 1080 that's OCed. Tried running it through nvidia and CPU and neither really make a difference. I'll have to wait for future updates

@DevL0rd Whenever I get a UAC prompt, it kicks the switch back to the ip-address screen. Is there anyway around this without disabling UAC.
There is not, I need to add something to restart the streamer after it gets force closed.
The problem is windows blocks anything trying to grab the desktop and input etc so that malware can't just click the uac prompt and elevate itself. So it is as expected I just forgot to handle auto restarting the stream in that event.

I'll work on audio a bit more soon. just make sure your not maxing the mbps to 20. Higher the setting higher the quality at cost of performance and latency.

Set your on lid close settings to keep the display on

Yeah I need to add something like that to toggle the mouse control on or off.

make sure your games are in borderless full screen mode, and use the CPU encoder for now, the other is a bit buggy.
Otherwise anything else may jsut be your network or system performance

Yeah it's a known issue right now. I'm getting streaming to as low latency as i can for now before fixing those bugs.

Basically you need to have a monitor connected in order for this to work. So if you have a laptop you need to set it so that when the lid is closed the screen doesn't turn off. If you have a pc, recommend getting a headless hdmi adapter - they're pretty cheap on Amazon. It's basically something that plugs into your hdmi port that is recognized by Windows as another monitor, so that when you turn off your main monitor it still looks like something is connected.

I'm using a mobile phone for the second monitor and it works like a charm.

That's sweet. With the GT1030, it has one DVI port and one HDMI port. Currently I have a Arcade Game cab hooked up to my HDMI, so I don't want to disconnect that.

I am assuming that a headless DVI Adapter would be just as good. Is that correct?

In addition, do I need to setup this up as a dual screen then? I am just wondering how this would work in dual screen. Will only one screen then be read by SkyNx?

This is an awesome tool, only issue I've found is it doesn't let diablo 2 take up the full switch screen, it takes up the full screen on the PC fine

Well, v1 run flawlessly .. v1.2 is a no go for me..

Code:
Using Nvidia Encoding
C:\SkyNXStreamer-win32-ia32\resources\app\NxStreamingService\node_modules\struct\index.js:355
throw new Error('Buffer size too small for struct layout !'); ^ Error: Buffer size too small for struct layout ! at Struct._setBuff.setBuffer (C:\SkyNXStreamer-win32-ia32\resources\app\NxStreamingService\node_modules\struct\index.js:355:19) at parseInputStruct (C:\SkyNXStreamer-win32-ia32\resources\app\NxStreamingService\main.js:141:9) at
Socket.<anonymous> (C:\SkyNXStreamer-win32-ia32\resources\app\NxStreamingService\main.js:284:13) at Socket.emit (events.js:182:13) at addChunk (_stream_readable.js:283:12) at readableAddChunk (_stream_readable.js:264:11) at
Socket.Readable.push (_stream_readable.js:219:10) at TCP.onStreamRead [as onread] (internal/stream_base_commons.js:94:17)
streamerProcess process exited with code 1

Same with CPU encoding.. crash, desync etc..

Tested again with V1.. no problem at all..

Make sure your game resolution is 1280 by 720.

You need to update your app on switch, not just the streamer.

QQ for NVidia encoding. Is there any minimum requirement on the card. I have a GT1030 with the latest drivers (445.87), but I get this message:

[h264_nvenc @ 04d52080] Driver does not support the required nvenc API version. Required: 9.1 Found: 9.0 [h264_nvenc @ 04d52080] The minimum required Nvidia driver for nvenc is 436.15 or newer
Error initializing output stream 0:0 -- Error while opening encoder for output stream #0:0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height
Conversion failed!
VideoProcess process exited with code 1

I am assuming it's the card itself, but just wanted to confirm. I believe that according to this chart the 1030 will not work with nvenc:
d8995723d3456b01eb102157519aa6d3474d1997.png

If it is, for the github, you may just want to write:
- Make sure to have the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) installed (that solves the Audio issue)
- Make sure to have at least a gtx card for the NVidia encoding to work.

Hopefully this helps others in the future.
