Panzer Dragoon: Remake will get a patch that adds 60fps, HD Rumble, lowers input lag, and more

Reception to the remake of the cult-classic Panzer Dragoon for the Nintendo Switch was underwhelming, with many criticizing the game's performance flaws. The game might improve soon, though, with an upcoming update on the horizon that plans to add some new features. In an interview, the co-producer of Panzer Dragoon: Remake mentioned that a v1.3 patch is in the works, which will include 60fps support, HD Rumble, reduced input lag, gyro controls, reworked sound effects, and an auto-lock system for the combat. There will also be multiple new additions in terms of a new game mode, an episode 0, unlockable cheat codes, and "new gameplay options". There's no release date as of yet for the new update, but it's currently in the process of being "validated" by Nintendo.

Was extremely disappointed with the "remake", since it basically wasn't a remake at all and just had slightly better textures. Didn't change anything else, which was disappointing.

I would love to see a remake of Panzer Dragoon Saga. It's super hard to play that one since its only on Saturn
Would kill for this, bought a Saturn and a modchip just to finally play the game without emulation and it's so good. It's such a shame Sega fucked up so bad and lost the source code, only a complete remake will bring this game back and I doubt Sega will bother :(

There are tons of games just stuck on the Saturn. Sega seems to not have any interest in bringing anything back from there

If it's not Miku or Sonic, we don't care - SEGA, 2020, probably

auto-lock might work but what about proper controls worthy of a "remake"? and will that 'episode 0' add enough content to exceed the 1.5 hour (or less) needed to beat this game? still needs lots of improvements before being a recommended title.

Ya, they should have done Saga, then mess with 1 and 2 for sure!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

As we drift from the physical medium, the drive towards delivering a polished product the first time around will vanish. Sad times, in gaming in more.

This is going out of control, selling unfinished games and finish the development once they have been already sold. Horrible practice.

So basically hes admitting the game was pushed early and cheated consumers out of a finished project..

This is why i loah DLC and Updates it gives developers to much leeway to do a half ass job .. anyone remember when NHL came on the ps4.. LMFAO it was missing game modes..

Anyone who bought and playdd for 1min couldve told you this was unfinished and a poor mans HD remaster

Ughh just imagine how many others were released in this state

Worst every was Alpha Protocal.. shouldve been a EPIC game.. wish they would tackle that again..

agree with this entire statement besides the "i hate DLC" part. DLC is supposed to be extra content, supplementary content to go with your game. Not whole chunks of it you need to pay for. Companies like EA are trying to turn the console/PC gaming industry into the mobile phone industry. Honestly companies think they can lock entire chunks of the game behind a "DLC paywall" that's really just asking consumers to pay for the rest of the game. because a company like FUCKING EA is so starved for money. god damn it ea, if you want to steal our wallets from us at least be upfront about it and mug us for god sake, dont be pussies and make us buy your shitty games.

Aren't these feature expected to be included at the lauch of a game?. Now we get them as patches. Lazy asses. Remember when every game game with a instruction book and a poster/other inserts. Now its just a special addition. And i dont want to hear "Its how it is now" That's not an excuse.

There were plenty of game companies through the 8 and 16 bit era that skipped including a booklet, also if you have to resort to other media to explain your work... technically it is not wrong but it is a hard sell and many would say you failed.

Show me a licenced nes/snes game that had no inserts or a instruction book. ALso show me a gamecube game with out one. Even the gameboy player disc had one.
