What's "WW"? "The Wind Waker"? Except that's "TWW", so it can't be that...

Also, I hope this game doesn't have Breath of the Wild's numerous inherent flaws (weapon and shield fragility, limited stamina, temperature gauge, very little sense of direction, large swaths of empty land, slow climbing, rain making climbing impossible, repetitive shrines and Korok seeds, repetitive-through-optionality narrative) built into its survival open-world nature; that disaster's only got a thin veneer of Legend of Zelda too, having almost none of the elements that make Twilight Princess, The Wind Waker, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening and A Link Between Worlds such enjoyable experiences to complete.

have you ever played an island survival game before? they usually end up sucking. they usually have very little combat too (hunting isn't combat) so i'm not getting my hopes up for this especially if it has a bad crafting system (they usually do)

Yes, I do, because it's fundamentally NOT a Legend of Zelda game. It's goddamn false advertising, for those who don't already know it's a paint-by-numbers survival open-world game. Yet despite how inherently flawed and downright boring and tedious it is, it still got widespread acclaim and awards - none of which it freaking earned. Just because it's got the "Legend of Zelda" name on it, and it's a new experiment that tries (and fails) to bring back the Zelda I nostalgia.

I'd much rather play Zelda I over Breath of the Wild; the NES game didn't have such stupid and frustrating survival mechanics, and didn't flat-out lie about what is is.

A perfect example of a 3/10 game, Breath of the Wild is. A terrible game that has no enjoyment value whatsoever, belongs to a completely different genre than its superior predecessors (making it at most a spin-off), and uses false advertising to lure in those unaware.

To be honest I'm just playing Links Awakening on the switch so I'm not really familiar to this type of gaming.... I think it's good for Sony and Microsoft because they have a BOTW type game and also switch for once getting a actual new 3rd party game on time.

Most people shouldn't complain it's not like they going to buy the game anyway they just going to pirate it hehe

Personally i like it a lot more than botw. Seems there's more to do. Worlds don't seem as empty. More mechanics like building boats, exploring islands oversea. Also seems to hint that exploring isn't a chore but it adds extras to the story in general by finding hidden ruins etc. A lot more enemies with not the same attack patterns like the case was in botw. Bosses look cool

I don't think you ever played the long dark wich is a survival game with tons of enemy attacks and a magnificent story

Looks interesting, but the graphics have that "made with Unity" look to them, so I'll hold off my excitement until more is known.

So like almost every other AAA title coming out these days.
Well not really, most have capture this tower or building to view everything in the map. Destroy things owned by the enemies to make the sub boss come out, destroy a percentage smaller bosses to make the big boss of that area of the map come out. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat till you get to make the big big big big boss come out.

Uhh. Zelda 1 literally had you burn random bushes to progress in the game. im sorry but "tedious" and "boring" gameplay will never compare to downright arachic design choices. It's the main reason why i don't think the NES has aged well at all, even if it did save video games as a whole. You complain about the temperature system when literally in OOT you had to wear a special tunic in order to explore the fire temple. also, ELIXRS. USE THEM. literally after defeating any enemy in the game you get that monster's guts and bones. with you fighting as many enemies as you do in the game you're bound to stumble upon some ingredients that let you get into the warmer/ colder regions.
you complain about weapon durability when weapons are already plentiful, most of the best ones coming from lizalfos. also, the master sword stays in your inventory once you get it.
