Crysis Remastered revealed for Switch, PC, PS4, and XB1

Update - Trailer:

It looks like Crysis is getting a remaster, as revealed accidentally by the official website. Information and artwork went live earlier than intended, on the Crytek page, showing that Crysis Remastered is in the works, before quickly being pulled minutes later. However, a banner image was still available on the site, showing that Crysis Remastered will be releasing on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Crysis initially released back in 2007, and was a first-person shooter for PlayStation 3, PC. and Xbox 360.

Crysis Remastered brings new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE's native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and – for the very first time – Nintendo Switch.

Sweet one of the best FPS in the last 20years... i remember slaving away all summer just to build a custom pc that could handle that game . LOL good memories i was the only gamer around with the rig power to run that badboy let alone MAX settings

I'm interested in seeing if this means that they finally implemented multicore scaling into the game.

Because that would actually make it run on any half-decent machine, including the Switch.
This game is so demanding, just because it relies on raw single-core performance, which as we know didn't improve that much since 2007.

Beggars can't be choosers. Deal with it. Framerate fanboy much?
You tell him to deal with it, yet you whinge about so many things to the point of it being pathetic. Hypocrite much?

Bullshit aside, I'm curious as to whether or not this will just be a port of the travesty that was the 360/PS3 version.

Crysis wont be getting remastered, the game itself still holds up excellently today on high end hardware, the game itself was pretty demanding on high end pcs back then.

Cant see the switch getting a remaster, we all know itll likely get a subpar port of the ps3/360 version which wasnt that great due to its hardware.

Chances are too that the ps4/xbx1x will just get the same old pc port.

I hate when idiots fall for remastered, nothing is remastered.

Only because the engine used for Crysis 1 was incredibly unoptimized, it only stresses systems because of super shit coding, not so much because it actually needs the power.

Sounds like they're using an updated engine though, so that'll fix that which is nice I suppose.
When a long haired turkish tomonobu itagaki wannabee wanna measure himself to tim sweeney and john carmack ,you get crisis.
Dunia engine might have saved the day later but crisys is an overrated unoptimised lame game.

Whatever, couldn't care less about FPS games anyway.

To be fair, it was also the best-looking game on any system at release and for a few years after. On a high-end PC it made everything on Xbox 360 and PS3 look like garbage, and that generation of consoles was brand new at the time.

Crisis is already hard game to run and now they want a remake....

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If Nintendo Switch can run Crysis, this means Nintendo Switch can run anything. SHAME ON YOU CD PROJEKT RED AND ROCKSTAR.
Optimized games can run anywhere, this proves nothing.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Because remakes...remakes...and more remakes...

Great news... i love paying for the same games over and over every couple of years, hopefully they add loot boxes and DLC and with any luck a huge patch to download before i can actually play it... was really starting to get tired of new and original stuff :toot:

Do I know you? No? And do you know me outside of the Temp? Didn't think so. Piss off.
I'd rather not know you outside of the temp, though luckily all we need to see is your comment history to get the gist of things. But we're getting off-topic here :)
Definitely looking forward to seeing a proper announcement sometime soon
