I can't even remember. But it's not the latest at this point. It turns on but overheats very fast. It was rebug I remember that much.

i mean version. but anyway, if you have a capable console you can downgrade and work

I would suggest to aim for a slim with a smaller hard drive.80 160(upgrade it). You have more chances of getting 3.55 compatible one and PHAT ones tends to be unreliable. But FW version does not matter because hen is in my opinion a minor inconvenience and CFW works with the latest version firmware.

As long as it's A one and done thing. Or persistant cfw that stays and I don't have to do it everytime. Like my ceche-01 phat model

What about a Slim CECH 2001A 120GB HDD on firmware 4.25. Can I downgrade that one and then upgrade to whatever and it be on permanent CFW every time i boot? like my old CECHE-01 phat?

Yes most likely looks like you could have good model. But no need to downgrade, We can hack latest firmware in 2020!!

It's the slim model
I'm on 4.84

CECH-20048

It used to be hacked many moons ago with those usb sticks of ps3break or something.
But I went official again also many many years ago. This to play online.

Ofcourse now it doesn't matter anymore. I just want to use it to play ps1 and psp games.

Nope it was completely factory reset back then and updated. Zero homebrew on it left.

So that make yours is downgradable too. It refer to the red in the first post which models that CAN downgrade but we actually don't need to downgrade. It is just the happens same models can get CFW too. hopefully in the future all can get CFW but hen is a viable solution.

So a new OFW version 4.87 is out (12/03/2020). Mainly updates Blu-ray functionality.
