Hey bros, I've been out of the PS4 scene, been working on my switch. The rona got me thinking about where we are here. has backing up games gotten easier? will we ever have or do we have legit CFW
it's possible to have cfw but it's not something that many would seek.
fail0verflow made two blog posts about Aeolia and Belize, or what is traditionally known as MediaCon, the first device to boot the system. having the keys to this device would allow CFW but there's an issue (that i don't care about at all). There's a separation between MediaCon and the APU, meaning you cannot interact with the APU's memory through IOMMU. If you could, you could allow a permanent HEN to boot from the device. Seeing as you can't, you can do everything else. Considering that MediaCon is an ARM device, you'd have essentially an ARM CFW for the ps4.

They any way to do a host payloads from my PC an use a network cable to my ps4 so I can't slip up by it going to internet (I'm just gonna hard kill my inter webs) .. I haven't turned it on in over a year... can't remember if we had a perma update block. also if I install linux will I be able to dump my disk games
