I created a .patch file that puts a villager in boxes once applied to a .nhv file with bspatch. Let's make the example Lolly
Create a copy of your Lolly.nhv file with a new name and put it in the same folder as Lolly.nhv. Let's call it Lolly_moving.nhv, but the name doesn't really matter.
Open your terminal in the same folder as the two villager files, and the move.patch file attached to the post. Enter
Code: 
bspatch Lolly.nhv Lolly_moving.nhv move.patch
And that's it!
Now load Lolly_moving.nhv over Lolly in NHSE. I guess it doesn't strictly have to be over Lolly, but it will create a Lolly villager in boxes on your save.


I just tried it with Lolly (go figure) and Sherb (separately, I wouldn't do more than one at once) and it seems to work just fine.

WARNING: Giving the villager that is put into boxes to another game is NOT thoroughly tested. This does force an animal into boxes, but I can't guarentee someone will recieve the correct data / animal in return. Be very careful if you are donating an animal to a game that can not make backups or run CFW.

So, this is basically the same on Windows.

Put the contents of this https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/929/ in a folder.
Place your Villager file, and a copy of the same Villager file that you're going to change into the same folder.
Open the Command Prompt (cmd.exe) as Administrator, and then go to the path where your folder with bspatch.exe is. You don't click on bspatch.exe at any point.
(To get to it, you type cd C:\whateverthepathis like in my image. It will be different for you)

And then follow the same instructions as before.

Works just fine to put the animal in boxes.

storage saves cheat dont seem to be working anymore as of 1.1.3 and NHSE doesnt have all flooring items so cant get them :(

Reference the villager list on the Github, or even find the villager within the NHSE program itself and it's not too hard to make one for any villager in the game.

Sheep are species ID 31
Dom is variant 15, so he's shp15.
1phs in hex is 31706873
5 in hex is 35 (remember, this is ASCII, not decimal. convert ASCII to hex with any tool online)

Only turn this on when you're ON the Mystery Island, and then turn it off when you want to go home.

Are you on version 1.1.3? The current version is 1.1.4. The build ID for 1.1.3 is E2D890A4D19FAD02 and the one for 1.1.4 is A31F81D41E1039C5. These are the names you should be using for the cheat files. The IDs for item slots have not changed whatsoever.

Actually these had been working fine for me on 1.1.3a? If you're modifying item that doesn't have any count, just remove the second line of each slot. I think you setting it to 0 is what make them not appear.

its 4 walls and 4 floorings i was going to do for a bath,garden, kitchen, and garage. but doesnt seem to work for me. tried the same code in 1 through 8 as well so tried 11 to 18 and didnt work as well.

As I said, remove the second line because the decoration items don't have any count.
So for example, it should be just:

ah thats what you meant. thats a new thing im guessing? since i never had to do that in 1.1.2 and below. thats a cool little feature i guess lol.
