is your sd card write protected or locked? check the switch on your sd card.

when you run wiiflow do you see images like the ones posted here - https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-lite.422685/page-130#post-9000702

does it say something like no games found bla bla bla?
are you able to access setting menu's?
It is not write protected, the switch is on the right position. Yes, that's exactly what appears on my screen. It says "No games found in usb1:/wbfs" and yes, using the home button I can access the settings menu

so you don't have any usb devices connected?
do you have wiiflow boot.dol in apps/wiiflow folder?
do you have a apps/wiiflow/imgs folder and is there images in it?

yet when you run wiiflow and press Home twice to exit wiiflow it doesn't make any wiiflow_lite.ini file?

none of this is even possible.
wiiflow looks for the apps/wiiflow folder first on sd then on USB. if it's not found on sd and your usb is disconnected it searches for first writeable partition which in your case is SD. either way wiiflow should find sd:/apps/wiiflow folder and thus find apps/wiiflow/imgs folder and all its images.

if sd is not mounted and usb is disconnected. then wiiflow will just abort and return to system menu or HBC.

the only way this would happen is if you have apps/wiiflow folder named wrong or different. so HBC would find it and launch it but wiiflow itself does not find the named wrong or different folder. in which case it never finds the wiiflow/imgs folder and its contents.

Weird, because i have followed the guides provided in this exact website, so I don't think I could have messed up that bad. I'll check later again, and post some screenshots

I checked again; no ini file is generated yet, here are some photos:
https://ibb.co/kxYWfzG
https://ibb.co/5BfjbLc
https://ibb.co/S769mMK
https://ibb.co/2qyZ5Vg
https://ibb.co/3C5XSS7

As you can see, there's no USB connected, I was able to get past the splash screen and even into the settings menu, but no ini file is generated even with images in the images folder, as shown in the screenshots

I've tried with different versions of wiiflow and formatting the SD card in two different computers and even a camera. The SD card is not write protected as I can modify the files in it. No wiiflow.ini is being generated. Maybe it's an issue with the Homebrew Channel? I guess it's possible since I installed using the DNS method and not an exploit. Maybe my wii is not able to write on my SD card for some reason?

Recently tried with a new SD card 64GB UltraPlus SanDisk, and the exact same problem came up; no .ini file and textures appear the same.... I have no idea what's happening, please respond

please try a different SD card.

I looked at the code. the only thing I can come up with is wiiflow is not mounting your sd card but it is passing the test that it is inserted which would allow wiiflow to continue on with booting up. but since sd is technically not mounted it can't read the images in the apps/wiiflow/imgs folder and can't save wiiflow_lite.ini to your sd card.

so a different sd card is not working.

so what cios do you have installed in slot 249?
maybe post a syscheck. or reinstall your cios in slot 249?

first try wiiflow start configurator - https://www.mediafire.com/file/2h1stwpdvd3r04q/wf_start_config.zip/file
this will create a wiiflow save that tells wiiflow what ios to use on bootup.
when you run it i suggest you set force cios to off. this will make wiiflow use IOS58 on bootup.
now run wiiflow and see if this helped.
