Sorry for long winded post

Hi there I have only today tried my hand at this. I’m trying to play games from a usb drive, I have a 500gb WD my passport drive with 2 games on currently. I have installed home brew, the d2x installer and usbloader. I followed a tutorial online before coming across the forum where it told me to install 1 cIOS (different to the one cyan has said) on slot 249 (v10 beta53 d2x-v10-beta53-alt)and also one on slot 250 (v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52). I have since replaced the one on slot 249 with the one which cyan said is correct. But I’m still getting the issue where the game shows and plays jingle in the usb loader but when I click start I get black screen then kicked back to homebrew menu. Now is it because of the slot on 250 or have I done something else wrong. I’m running the latest versions of each firmware.

Try ModMii
Ok what’s that..

The Master gets what he deserves.:rofl2:

Hello @tommy354

What our great ModMii Wizard @XFlak wants to say,you can use the easy and safe full automated Solution to Mod and of course UPDATE your Wii.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/

1.You can Mod your Wii with it and decide what you want during the Process -> the ModMii Wizard Option.
or
2.You can make a sysCheck first
https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/
and use it on ModMii -> the sysCheck Updater Option.
or
3.You can do everything by Hand like install custom cIOSes/Channels/Themes and this Kind.

So the Choice is yours.

My "personal" Suggestion,if you allow please.
Please post a sysCheck FIRST.Thank you. :)

BUT

For your Issue we maybe have to look also on other "Places" .

- Which USBLoader and which Version did you use please ?
- Did your USB HDD is plugged into the correct Port 0 please ?
index.jpg
- Can you please tell us which Games makes you Troubles ?
- Did you transferred your Games with the WiiBackup Manager to your USB HDD ?
- Did you checked your ISOs/Games ? Are they ok and maybe not "bad" or corrupted ?

So you have a lot of Choices now.:)

Thank you and
Good Luck.:)

Guys you know what I have swapped the USB port and it has fixed it. That’s a major face palm. Thanks for all your help and now I look like an utter noob haha. Sorry for the trouble. I didn’t think it would be something so simple. I thought it would be code related
