So, with a lot of us just stuck inside, with nothing more to do than finally tackle the backlog of games we've all been wanting to try for eons, and the sudden upswing of VR owners due to it (and half life), I'd like to ask: what did you play today...in VR?

I thought we could perhaps get some discussions going about what fun games we've all been trying in VR, or just recommend each other games to try with our new headsets. There's always the common recommendation of beat saber or super hot, but what other lesser known games have you been trying out? Let's discuss!

Miss Chary I see this thread doesn't include a timezone for my local area if you could just include one that'd be great.

also if I stop being lazy i'm going to play more Beat Saber since it requires the least amount of room without fear of smashing my walls in.

I didn't played anything in VR today. I was playing 4 months ago some games on the ps vr. Today I played "hide from the police" real life edition. I was going outside trying to avoid police that see me outside without mask and far from home. You can say it was sort of VR because it felt real.

VR recommendations eh? Well there's:
  • Half Life Alyx
  • Half Life Alyx
  • Half Life Alyx
  • Half Life Alyx
  • And Half Life Alyx!
  • Oh! And can't forget, Half Life Alyx!

:P

For realsies...

I played a round of golf today in The Golf Club VR, easily the best full golf game you can get for VR, strongly recommend it if you enjoy golf. Has a bit of a learning curve in the beginning, and isn't quite accurate to real life, but it's as close as you'll probably get.

Also recommend Pavlov VR, one of the few games I bought for VR. Excellent FPS, great gun play for VR and the community mods are excellent (CoD Nazi Zombie maps being ported was super neat!). Definitely a big recommend if you like playing CS.

Creed: Rise to Glory is also a nice boxing game. A little simplistic, at it's core, but is a good way to get in some exercise in if you're stuck at home.

Catch and Release VR is a great fishing sim if you're looking to just relax and chill out, listen to some music while floating along on a lake and occasionally catch some fish.

And I've been trying plenty more, so I'll definitely keep this thread in mind if I find any gems.

I’m a big fan of the PSVR, and I’m getting in deeper thanks to lockdown :)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: CrisisVRigade is freaking addictive! It now has coop mode added too!

Creed Rise to glory is damn good, as are Beat Saber and Box VR, if you need some exercise!

Statik is a personal fave of mine, it’s a puzzler revolving around the DS4 controller, it’s incredibly tactile.

Recently I spotted Dick Wilde 2 and Dirt VR bundle on special in the PSN sale.... tempted: any opinions? I’m also considering the Perfect Sniper.. but... yeah... bad reviews galore...

I’m also tempted to re-buy Superhot VR and the DLC as it’s an absolutely superb game and I have never played the expansion.

ahaha, I see everyone has timezone issue with the contest :P
I hope we will find a way to fix that.

I don't play a lot of VR games (I don't buy them, I fear I won't like it, or it's not done well for nausea, etc.) and finally end not playing anything new.
That's why game Demo are great!

I mostly only play and love Wipeout Omega. one of my best PSVR game! sensation and visual are quite good compared to the very few other VR racing games I tested.

I tried the game demo of Last labyrinth, it was funny but really too short (2 puzzles for the demo).
You are attached to a wheeling chair and can't move, you only point&click (with the head, myst like) what you want to do, and someone else do it for you and push your chair.
It's full of deadly puzzles to solve.

I should try more demos... or what KiiWii suggested!
