Yeah actually. You see this is the Amiigo thread. I made Amiigo. What you are using is Amiiswap. I have almost zero experience using Amiiswap and haven't contributed to it's code. What you should do is go to the Amiiswap thread and ask its developer for help. I would help you would get much better support there because they made it, they know how it works, I don't. Also this is off topic.

This will work with exfat but you really shouldn't use exfat with any homebrew. Any homebrew that accesses the file system has the potential to corrupt exfat sd cards because of Nintendo's bugged driver. It's impossible for homebrew developers to fix this unless cfw reimplements it.

Hi sir, thank you for made this one..before this, i am a user of amiiswap, but since update 9.1 and now 9.2, i cannot using that again
(And my hbmenu change into applet mode, and i dunno what is applet mode and how to change to regular again)

Anyway,
Im using amiigo and it works like charm, but sorry if im asking, how to change amiibo without go out from the game, choose another amiibo, and go back to game again?
Tried R + direction pad Right-nothing
Tried R + direction pad Up-nothing
Tried L + direction pad - nothing
Tried L or R with Y - nothing

Can you help me sir?

Applet mode means it's not using the full amount of ram. If you've never noticed before you have probably always been using applet mode because the warning wasn't added until after hbmenu was released. To run in title mode hold the same button you use when going in to the album but open a game instead. You can't use hbmenu in title mode and a game at the same time though.

If you have Tesla by @WerWolv you can also use the overlay that XorTroll provides in emuiibo to switch amiibos.

No problem. I think Atmosphere changed the default button to do it. If I recall correctly you need to hold R while opening a game to open hbmenu in title mode but you press just A on the album (not holding R) to open it in applet mode (less ram than title mode but can run alongside a game). If you have Kosmos toolbox you can change the default keybinds (even if you don't use Kosmos the toolbox is nice to quickly edit and check Atmosphere settings).

So I’m having issues I put everything in the right spot and when I start amiigo it’s says emuiibo not loaded I’m using the latest atmosphere and everything

With emuiibo 0.5.0 (for overlay) launching amiigo crashes my switch with an atmosphere error, I'm assuming when he makes an official release you'll have to update it or something since I'm sure it's emuiibo itself that has changed, I didn't want to use amiigo for emulation but rather for creating virtual amiibos on the switch itself. worked fine on 0.4.0

Yeah XorTroll completely rewrote the IPC stuff which I need to interface with it. Unfortunately my Switch has hardware failure and remote debugging with people on discord is far too tedious and inefficient to work for Amiigo. I thought about stripping out the Amiibo selection stuff and just having it create Amiibos instead which won't crash because it doesn't use IPC but XorTroll said he's changing the Virtual Amiibo file format in 0.5.0.

Until I'm able to get another Switch Amiigo is dead. I'm going to try to get a new Switch but it's probably going to be a while since Covid-19 has made it impossible to get a job where I live and I don't have the money to buy one right now.

I feel you, I'm also feeling the strain from losing a job due to CV19 the switch is the only thing keeping me sane but luckily there are tons of jobs hiring here just have to be willing to do the physical labour. Places like amazon are a good start since they do high volume hiring I worked for them in the past and it really got me out of a tough spot. Currently I'm using emuiibo 0.5.0 with the amiibos that were generated by your amiigo app and they work perfectly fine, but it's entirely possible he hasn't implemented his new file format just yet. luckily unpatched switches haven't really gained any actual value.. mostly only the new v2s are going for 100-200 over but you can still find a unpatched tablet relatively cheap I do hope you're able to find one and continue the project since it's very convenient to be able to make emuiibos on the switch itself rather than having to do it via FTP etc. If you're accepting donations i'd help the cause!

My country is on lockdown so any none essential businesses are closed (basically anything that isn't a food store) and the area I live in is quite far from the city so there isn't many shops to begin with. I don't think he's updated the format yet but he mentioned on the AtlasNX discord that the format is going to change and he's already updating emutool for it.

I've went back and forwards on asking for donations. I don't think my work is high enough in quality to be worth people donating and if people are going to donate to anyone I think it should be better devs like XorTroll and WerWolv (just to name two). I did say on discord that if enough people said they'd donate to buy me a new switch I'd accept that as a one time donation but the max donation would be £10 and I'd only accept it if enough people agreed to donate before hand so that no one felt screwed if I took their money and then couldn't afford a console. 4 people said they'd donate but that wouldn't be enough even if they all donated the maximum of £10 which I'd be grateful for but I wouldn't expect anyone to do. If you're struggling from losing your job though I think you should keep your money. I love writing homebrew but I wouldn't feel right taking money from someone who has lost their job just so I can make a app that could be easily replaced by one of the many other devs who have functional switches.

Yes. I don't use sx so I'm not certain but the following steps should work. Download this https://github.com/XorTroll/emuiibo and
move the contents folder to the SXOS folder on your SD card. Then rename the contents folder to titles. Then download this https://github.com/CompSciOrBust/Amiigo and place the nro in the switch folder on your SD card. Hold R while opening the album and open the Amiigo app. Click Amiigo maker to create Amiibos and click Amiibo list to select the Amiibo.

When you say contents folder do you mean extract all folders within emuiibo folder to a folder and name it content? Do i then rename it and call the folder titles?

Inside of the zip file there's a folder named contents. You need to put that in the SXOS folder and rename it to titles.

That's the source code. You need the release. When homebrew is hosted on GitHub you need to download it from the release page but that doesn't show the read me file which is why people don't usually link straight to it. When in Amiigo press X until the rectangle at the bottom turns green and says "On" then open a game. Some games you can turn it on after running it but there's a bug where it doesn't work in games like botw so it's better to do it before launching a game. When you say add your own Amiibo do you mean an Amiibo you physically own? They should just work the way they do without Emuiibo. What's the error you get? Do you get it when you start your switch? Or does it error when you open a game or something?
