Yeah, that's totally how it is. For those who've had hacked systems for a while, what's worth hanging on to? Linux...not really, we all have decent laptops/pcs, right. PS2 is awesome, but PCSX2 isn't so terribly demanding on computers these days.

i guess it all depends what you want and expect from the scene. i understand what your saying about his comments on twitter then complete silence. but its only been two or 3 weeks. these things take time and most people have real lifes to do as well as there hobbys. but also can you honestly say youve played through all the games worth playing on 5.05? cos i no i havnt and ive had mine for the past 2 years ish
Yes, the work takes time! But there's only so much "working from home" one can do now to keep sane, waiting for an exploit on top that is too much X-D
And no, I haven't for sure, but I don't have a very varied interest. I totally get why you'd want to not update, though.

well might be worth buyin another ps4 and updating that. or maybe an xbox one or switch to occupy yourself for the time of waiting. retroarch also works for ps4. so theres definatly enough to use for the time being. like i said i really want a new kxploit too the same as many others.
It always interests me when people make a thread about updating rather than just updating. Either they aren't quite sure and want to see if anyone has new information, or they want to get as many people as possible to do it to make them feel better about the choice.

Are you sure it's *worthwhile* to still keep a system on 5.05 now? IMO, there's no incentive. Retroarch and linux are NOT worth it. They would be, if it was 2008 or something where having emulation and a PC in the living room are still sort of novel.
For those, like me, who've had a PS4 on 5.05 since the beginning of that, and haven't played the Sony exclusives not possible on 5.05, now is a great time. Those games are cheap now, and positively 1000% ain't no one pirating any new games from here on until well after PS5 release.
I'd love to download loads of new PKGs now, too! But waiting for exploits right now in this crazy world climate is dumb IMHO

like someone else stated. he didnt need a thread for it. could have just updated and not tried telling everyone what they should do. if he used it purely for piracy then he is a good reason why devs didnt release a new kexploit

I agree with OP. I mostly play exclusives on my PS4 and by now the vast majority of former PS4 exclusives from 5.05 have gotten PC ports and the ones that haven't are at any decent local library. I mean, I guess it comes down to what you want your PS4 for, but if you have a half decent PC it's just not worth staying on 5.05 for ps4 games alone.
