I believe that was being meant with "slow" - ghosts that only work shortly after booting the game. Why that would happen - I have no idea.

I don't think there's a way to use port forwardings on Android. In most cases your phone is probably behind a CGN anyways, so even if you could add port forwardings they wouldn't work.

...Yeah, re-reading it, it totally went over my head. Swoosh.

Where can I read about that WC24 Behaviour? I've never heard of that, but seeing how I only get to do stuff right after booting and not, let's say, half an hour later or whatever, it might be that. I still wonder why, but if that's how is supposed to be... At least it's something clear I get.

Hi, I recently found my wii and started playing games again.
And I noticed that I now need to use wiimmfi to play online. I managed to connect using usbloadergx and got the 7 day waiting period to start playing MKW, after waiting I got online. If I look at the statistics it looks like there are hundreds of players playing MKW, but I when I connect world wide I get only 2 opponents, and only 1 if I choose the more local option.

Is there anything else I need to configure to get some more opponents?

I noticed there is CTGP and MKW Fun. Is there more players using these? Which one would you recommend I start with? (Edit: noticed I need a disc for these two so I won't be playing these at the moment)

MKW Fun via a WBFS file doesn't require that and there are ways to get around the disc requirement for the other.

Update after almost 5 years of the 7-day wait period:

Over the last couple months Wiimm and me worked on improving the ban system to detect people who are trying to get around bans, and so far this seems to be working. Due to Corona, lots of new people are trying to use Wiimmfi who never used it before, and are running into the 7-day wait. To make it easier for new people to use Wiimmfi, we have decided to remove the 7-day wait under certain conditions:
  • You are using a real Wii or WiiU. Dolphin users will still have the 7-day waiting period
  • Your console has never been banned in the past.
  • You are not using any kind of identity spoofer that modifies any of the data the game sends to Wiimmfi during the login
These criterias should be true for nearly every new player on Wiimmfi, and we hope that this helps to get more people on Wiimmfi, especially those who are currently in quarantine due to Corona.
We're hoping that our new ban system will be able to keep people out who are just trying to circumvent bans, but if that doesn't work and people find a way to stockpile different NANDs / identities again, we might need to bring the 7-day ban back in the future. Also, all the limits for how many new consoles or profiles you can create in a certain time are still enabled.

What's the limit of creating profiles on real Wii consoles? I have 8 Wiis, 7 of which don't have profiles, and figured now's the best time to set them up with wiimmfi so they're all ready to deploy in any setup I decide to make. Here are 6 of them together in my secondary setup (which is my only CRT setup).

Hello
So I am new to Wimmfi and while playing Pokémon Platinum on my Wii U's Virtual Console, I see that I get a Communication error upon trying to visit the Underground (essentially trying to use WFC i believe).

Can I use Wimmfi to fix this error and if so, do I just need to enter a specific dns in the Internet Connection settings or do I also have to patch the game, or is there still more to it than that?

I've seen people accessing Wimmfi on their DS by just setting a specific dns setting, but I don't know if it's that simple on the Wii U VC.

The underground never used wfc, it uses wireless communications.

I've got 2 wiis (+2 discs for mkwii) but one of them has disc drive issues. Could you elaborate (dms or publicly) on what you mean about getting around the disc requirement for ctgp? I totally get it if you can't but it's a pain to have to swap wiis every time I want to load up ctgp (total first world problem...) Thanks

Would I be able to play on dolphin with my friends (5 maximum) sharing my wii's nand with everyone? or would I be banned instantly?

I think its the latter but IDK, haven't tested NAND sharing with multiple Dolphin instances.
And before you do it, if your friends are playing MKWii, tell them not to hack, especially in any way that can lead to a ban, since most bans are usually console bans.

Yeah, I guess I'm lucky as I set up dolphin for my friends and they probably don't know that cheating is a thing.
I'll try the instance thing and report back.
