I don't care for the dark filter.
What i do want is to play Wave Race 64 without those black borders on the bottom and top of the screen. It is really stupid having those borders on a 16x9 TV if the source image is already 4x3. We've got both the right and left borders, as well as these other two.

Tried to change my TV setup to zoom the image, but it zoomed too much.
How can ypu not care about dark filter...its degrading and ugly.

First you MUST already know how to use Wexo's Toolbox and have successfully disabled dark filter/widescreen settings in your N64 injects.

This will not be a full step by step guide, you need to edit the following setting in the FrameLayout.arc file:

blyt/FrameLayout1080.bflyt => RootPane => frame => Transformation => Scale: (1:1) <= Change to (1:1.2)

You must use the above settings with the widescreen settings as well, this will fill the TOP and BOTTOM bars only, while keeping the 4:3 screen aspect ratio for Wave Race 64, you will still have the LEFT and RIGHT black bars.

Can this be installed with WUP installer? It plays fine on Loadiine, but when I use NusPacker to convert to a WUP installable format, it fails.

Super Mario 64 Widescreen patch by gamemasterplc.

Super Mario 64 Widescreen + 60fps patch by Kaze Emanuar.

Star Fox Widescreen patch seems to be hard to find, there are gameshark codes, but these are for emulators, need to find the actual patch file, or unless someone knows how to create patch files from the gameshark codes.

I can confirm that both the SM64 Widescreen and Widescreen + 60fps works as a N64 VC custom inject.

How did you get Super Mario 64 working? I used the provided widescreen patch and injected it into Majora’s Mask and it doesn’t work. How would I go about injecting Super Mario 64?

Hi all,

Just discovered these dark filter removed roms. I'm about to install the Mario 64 60fps version with dark filter removed and forced widescreen,

Hi all,

Just stumbled across this thread. I've got access to a few premade VC N64's games that are DF+WS fixed already. Grabbed Mario 64 60fps version, bar the slight glitching on the opening screen, it seems to run really well! Only thing I noticed is there's an alternative version called 'gamemasterplc WS patched' Anyone know the difference? Cheers all (y) :D

CORE told you, try using Super Mario 64 as the base, including the config ini.

I've used Super Mario 64 as a base with the ini file. Does GameMasterPLC's widescreen hack require the expansion pack? Could that be the problem?

What is the exact process to getting the GameMasterPLC's SM64 widescreen patch working?

Expansion Pak is enabled by default unless stated otherwise in the config ini file, there are games that require no expansion pak to run, on the top of my head I think its Wave Race 64, you can look at the.config ini settings to see the entry to disable the expansion pak.

Not sure what your doing wrong, I injected this a while back and works.

You trying to inject US or EU version?

I'm using GameMasterPLC's widescreen hack (everything works on Project 64).

I'm injecting this rom using 64Inject into the US version of Super Mario 64 using the Unsme0.005 config file that's in the config pack linked in the 64Inject thread.

After doing all of this, it doesn't work with Loadiine, and it doesn't work when installed with WUP installer.

What region is the patched rom?
