Good job SquareEnix.
I will go digital but I felt for the people who might have gotten the game late if SquareEnix did not step in.

This gives hope. They DO seem to know how important this game is. Heck, it might be the most important release for SquareEnix since the last decade. And they are doing a wonderfull job with their PR Department, showing us bits and pieces of the game that we were most afraid of (crossdressing szene comes to mind) and preparing us for changes to our beloved game.

And now they do everything they can so the fans get their game just in time.
Can't wait for the 10th of April.

Trashy.

Don't defend them (even if for some reason you want to be ripped off by them and get this game)

Clearly trying to exploit the current situation, disgusting, but not unexpected of them.

So many crying Americans.

Piss off. As a European, I've always had to deal with companies releasing their shit here on retail a month after release at best. Do you know how it feels when others are able to play a game before you, just because some publisher thought "yknow, we should space these out for no reason"? Well, I guess you are going to find out now.

And at least, now there is a valid enough reason to ship them early and it's not even a month, it's two fucking weeks. I honestly think that you should be more concerned how poorly the US is responding that they think that the US postal service is still good enough to get everything where it has to be at launch date, but that's just me.

Like, this is being released early to make sure that it gets to the people who bought the game on time through a currently overburdened postal system with the hopes of it arriving on the release date.

Can you all, like, stop the off-topic and insulting now?

Not even that. Release is in ten days and it's not like the game is in the shelves today. Maybe it'll be available to most of us two or three days earlier. It's not like we're gonna start playing tomorrow

Yup. Not even that the game is delayed for them... it is just a few days earlier for someone else xD
Big lol.
So it's a complete non-issue then. Anyone complaining about having to wait a few more days to play a game needs to get over themselves.

My retailer in Germany had the deluxe Edition in Stock already today - but sold out now - Standard Edition vaguely placed at "next week", so not that much early. More like making sure it gets to everyone in time or one to two days earlier at best

So they went the shitty GameStop approach of pretending to care but really just exploiting the panic.

Oh......you really need to know a lot of stuff about Supply chains and the impact on a delayed release my friend....
Its better to ship something early than late, the economic and also "social" effects that a delayed release has is a lot bigger

BREAKING NEWS - THE FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE TROPHIES ARE UP
Share them with people that want them then

Looks like a bunch of "passed this milestone", "did this aspect of the combat", "won this minigame" rather than anything interesting. Does appear to have a hard mode for the game though which is somewhat new in this sort of thing. There do appear to be quite a few minigames as well, though how many of those will be takes on the various minigames the original had rather than things in the world to go and play I don't know.

Loving it so far.

who wants some spoilers?
Assuming you have played the original some idea of whether it is a nice retelling of the story, fleshed out and refined as necessary, or if SE have seemingly learned nothing from 10 onwards (or worse 13 onwards) and now attempt to sully the good rep of the PS1 era.

Oh okay, so they won't release early in the US. I see how it is, they can screw off.

Preorder cancelled. Square Enix can suck it long and hard.
No you didn't dont tell fibs... whats annoying is that I live in Australia and preordered on psn and still have to wait but all my friends can play!
