Homebrew Do I have to mod vWii menu again if it was modded before with Brawl?

So I modded my Wii U's vWii a few years ago with the Super Smash Bros. Brawl method, and I'm wondering if I have to mod it again or if there's no point.
I mostly likely will do it if it fixes the aspect ratio problem with Homebrew Channel.
And also, does anyone know how to make the Wii U gamepad always work as a Gamecube controller?
Thanks.

you can make the wii u gamepad work as a controller with nintendont I believe. and, I think you need a certain version, which is pretty easy to find with a google search.

Yeah, but I really want to see Brawl being played with the Wii U Gamepad. It would also allow me to play stuff like QuakeGX and other homebrew on the Wii with the Gamepad.

you can play brawl with the gamepad by injecting the wii iso file with techmoon's vc injector and selecting gamepad emulation. It works flawlessly, the only issue being the console hangs if you decide to exit the game, forcing you to pull the power cord, but if you just turn off the console it works fine. Also i don't think multiplayer works if you use the gamepad to play wii games, but it has been awhile so i could be wrong about that
