Hi, I used to use gateway ds to play 3ds roms, now it doesn't work anymore. I installed luma 3ds following the guide everything went smooth but now...how do I play the 3ds roms I used to play? And what about the onld ds roms? Do I have to do something to them? Is it enough to put thrm on thr sd card?

Also I have an original game with the original cartridge, how do I play it? If I insert it in the slot card it doesn'work....

Thank you! Thank you for your help and sorry for the silly question in advance.

Gateway is outdated, so if on higher than 11.2 FW you can't use it and same goes for your .3DS files. Instead, with Luma, simply find the .CIA version of the games and install them with FBI, you don't need flashcards anymore to play. If you are still on 11.2 though, make sure to backup your saves before updating to anything newer to make sure you don't lose them.

Also, if you can't find the .CIA version for the games you want, if you have them as .3DS you can just use GodMode9 to convert them.

If you have the original .3ds files on your computer, you can also use the 3DS Simple CIA Converter by RikuKH3.

1) Unpack the .exe file in any folder you like. Within that folder, create a /roms folder.
2) If you have boot9strap, hold Start + Select + X for a couple of seconds when booting up your 3DS. The screen will stay black as long as you hold the buttons. Let them go and you're in
3) By holding that button combination, you will have saved boot9.bin onto your internal SD card. Turn off the 3DS and find that file in the /boot9strap folder.
4) Place boot9.bin in the same folder as the .exe file from Riku's converter.
5) Start the converter by double-clicking the .exe, select '3DS to CIA,' and from the pop-up menu, select the /roms folder with the .3ds file(s). You might need to go up one level in the file structure to select the /roms folder (just one click, hit 'Select')
