That picture is too blurry to make out anything. I don't recognize it immediately. Can you elaborate on your situation? What did you do before your 2ds became like this? Have you removed the SD card or accidentaly removed everything on it?

I'm still not familiar with this, but the part that says "sd card 0/0 mb" makes it sound like you don't have an SD card in your 2ds. If you do, then you might have it formated wrong. Put all the stuff on the SD card on your pc, and format it correctly according to 3ds.hacks.guide. Please report back here when you've done that.

Thank you! All is well here luckily. Take care you too. I do not think your 2DS is broken to be honest, but if what they say is true and the NAND is broken then yes, I'm just not sure that's the case.

Did you check your SD card?

That readout sounds like you have a PANDA devkit model.

WOW! Thank you so much tell me! Do you know how to fix this?
Calling @Sono and @PabloMK7 for more insight on this matter.

No. I'm not familiar with that error code and don't have experience with PANDA models. What I do know is that software repair methods such as CTRTransfer can't be used on PANDA due to signature differences between dev and retail units.

Thank you so much!
You need to give us more info to determine if it is a PANDA model or a retail unit that wasn't manufactured properly. How did you obtain it? Was it second hand (bought from someone else) or from a store? Was it working fine before? Did you try to install something special into it?

C8804478 haunts me both in OCDM and TreeHome. It's a "generic" "not found" error for filesystem stuff.

Sounds like someone either installed TestMenu, or someone accidentally uninstalled DevMenu.

The former is very unlikely, because the version is very suspicious (I have never seen this version, but it's also still somewhat old), which makes me think this might be indeed an FTR Panda unit; probably even a prerelease one.
Although I think it's possible to crash Home Menu to TestMenu, but I don't think it opens TestMenu if Home Menu is *uninstalled* (to my knowledge that would svcBreak on a retail unit).

The latter however is very likely. I'm pretty sure DevMenu doesn't prevent you from trying to uninstall it :P

i bought it from Chinese ebay (2.taobao.com).The serial number is aw715565818 on the 2ds`s back. The motherboard serial number is aw715035199.

Woah! That's insane! A debug mode on a pre release PANDA model? Anyway do you have any dev icons on your home screen? And did it function something like this?

I think that 2DS came like that, stuck on TestMenu because there is no DevMenu to launch.

You can't, since you can't launch DevMenu. You need to hack the system using the cartridge port (either via a 3DS game, or a DS flash cart using ntrboot).

You can test if it's a dev unit: if normal 3DS cartridge games with then it's a retail unit. If none of the 3DS games are detected then it's most likely a dev unit.

Also, I checked again, and I don't think it's a prerelease unit. A prerelease unit would have an SDK version smaller than v3.2.5.200

Edit: it's a retail USA unit based on the serial number. Some idiot probably softbricked it by fooling around with CONFIG...
