So I have just updated to firmware 9.1 from 8.1 using ChoiDujourNX and as part of the install it mentions I am burning a fuse because I don't use AutoRCM.....my question is is it burning a real fuse on the Switches NAND or just an emulated nand fuse on the SD card ?

I also cloned the sd card onto another sd card when it was on Firmware 8.1 can I pop the SD card back in and essentially downgrade the Switch to 8.1 without any issues ?

thanks

The fuses are in your Tegra CPU, not your NAND or SD card.
So if you burn them, it affects everything.
If you plan on using a lower firmware, then don't burn them.

the fuses get burnt at boot so when you update your switch it will reboot and try to boot. If you update the sysnand it will also update the boot 1/2 as well so autorcm will be overwritten.

if you update the sysnand you can beat the reboot and push a payload before it can boot it will stop the burnt fuse but if ur not confident I wouldn't do it as u have one shot at it
