Luma3DS v10.0.1 is the latest version. You don't have A9LH custom firmware; your up-to-date B9S cfw means you can continue to System Update to 11.13E.

lately I'm baking a lot, sewing, drawing and doing all sorts of artsy stuff. I also play videogames and study... Sadly it's really important to stay home, I'm very thankful that my gov did something to stop the virus, 'cause I feel like some countries aren't doing enough (looking at u, Japan & UK). I also Skype my friends, it really does help when you can't have normal conversations.

As for the second part, glad I have the latest version but now then I wonder what are all these files I have on my SD card

Turn off the 3DS. Turn on the 3DS, and hold the (SELECT) button. Do you see Luma3DS v#.# configuration? If yes, what version is it?

Manual Removal
Don't do a direct delete. Cut and paste these from SD card → computer. These should be safe to remove.

@amirgaming74, from your post #49904 in this thread and post #14 at this other thread, you stated that the n3DS(XL?) "Could not detect a microSD Card. The software on the microSD Card could not be displayed".

Which one of these best describes your error?

First things first, I am a complet noob to 3ds Hacks or even hacks in general, and english Is my third language, so I'm really counting on your patience!

(THE SITUATION) So here's my situation sometimes ago "a friend" sold a modded 3DS XL with Boot NTR CFW, FBI, Luma 3ds, FTPD... already on it with some games on the SDcard, I am totally enjoying it.
The problem now, Is that I dont where to start when It comes to installing games. I own some .3ds / .CIA copies of SMT IV and I cant get it to work, and I dont know where to begin. I did some research here and there but it came to nothing.

(THE TECHNICAL ISSUE) When I put my SD in my laptop, I dont have any folders just some game files and when I am on FBI the game I copied on pc in the doesnt show on CIAS folder for install . AM i missing something, or a lot of things?

(THE QUESTION) Would somebody direct me to the appropriate guide if there's any, or just give me the headlines of what I must do to install a 3ds/.cia file, or at least show me the right path on FBI so I can find the files that are copied on my SD?

Hello.

For your Game install Question:

On your SD Card in the Root Directory should be a Folder named "cias"
You can search for 3DS Game in .cia Format if you use the "Free Games from the Internet" Option.

This .cia Files comes then into the "cias" Folder on your SD Card.

After you re-inserted the SD Card into the 3DS you can start FBI (by the Way you can Update to the latest Release v.2.6.0)
The First Entry should be "SD" on the Lower Screen,go into and then into the Folder"cias",

There you can coose a single Game to install or all from the Folder.

Actually the problem is when I put my SD card on PC (Win 10) It seems that I cant open the root directory, It's strange. And when I'm on the 3DS browsing FBI, I dont see the files that I copied in the SD (for ex: I have Monster Hunter +Pokemon + Xenoblade on SDcard, but only Monhun and pokemon show up, Xenoblade Is nowhere to find in the FBI browser on DS)
Another thing is, the games on the SDcard have the .3dz extension when I view the content on PC, but the games I fnd in the CIAS folder on the ".3ds" , have the ".CIA " extension.
So in brief, even hen I copy .3DS or .CIA on my SD, They dont show up in any file on the FBI APP when I am on 3DS.

That is maybe an "Security Issue" with your PC I think....

Can you backup/copy the Content of your SD Card ?
Maybe transfer your Data to an other SD Card maybe helps.Please try to backup it (if possible) before you do anything with it.

Hey, I've got some news BTW. I forgot my SD plugged on PC, and I turned my 3DS to play, and I just realized that my games are working. I thought that I cant play without the SD card. So I guess that the SD card Is not detected by my 3ds, and was only for the purpose of stocking games. And I had another clue I found a File named 3DSUTILS, I used to dump my own games on my old PS2 and I was using USBUTILS to convert ISO and load them into a USB. So maybe the guy who lent me the 3DS was using that I dont know? Do you have any idea about this?

So yeah! You're right, my 3ds run already installed games without the SD card. When I press power on +start I get the "Luma3DS chainloader" with " 1)Hourglass9(with menu). 2)Down v2gw 3)Gateway (Black screen, doesnt seem to work) 4)Decrypt 9wip.
I tried to explore the menus yesterday, but I cant locate the SD files anyway, and I was worried to mess around with the firmware.

Concerning 3DSUTILS It seems like a Citra related stuff I just found It on the SD, I dont think It's important anyway. I used to own a hardmodded PS2 and I was using USBUTILS to dump my games on the USB, I thought that It was kinda similar stuff but I really dont any answer to that.

Is the SD Card formatted with FAT32 please ? And how is the Size please ?
When you press and hold the SELECT Button and power on the 3DS you should get into Luma3DS Configuration.
Which Version did you have please ?
It seems you do not have GodMode 9 installed (File Browser and more) with that you can browse your SD Card/CTRNAND etc.
You have Decrypt 9 but that misses a lot of Features.
(and it is discontinued)

All 3DS games are installed on the SD. The only games that work without are the few preinstalled things and DSiWare.

With your SD inserted open
"System Settings" → "Data Management" → "Nintendo 3DS" → "Software"
("Paramètres de la console" → "Gestion des données" → "Nintendo 3DS" → "Logiciels")

It should show Open blocks (Blocs libres) on the upper screen (and list all games/apps) if the SD is detected by the operating system.

The very first thing you should do is backup all data from the SD.

Then put the SD back into the console and hold (Select) while turning on. On the top of the upper screen it should say
Luma 3DS v??? configuration

Decrypt9WIP and Hourglass9 are outdated and this is why we need to know the Luma3DS version. Depending on the version number different things have to be done.

No folders sounds very strange. Again: Backup is the most important thing now.
FBI 2.4.8 ist pretty old. Your console might still be on A9LH.

Does anyone know how to use God Mode 9 for a CFW 3DS system to convert a .cia file to .3ds? Or to download an already installed game to your SD Card as a .3ds file?

It's not possible to up convert .CIA back to .3DS due to the lost NCSD header.
