I'll post the question here but not sure if it's the right section, still new there ahahahah
The problem I have with my Switch is that I can no longer turn it on
To be clear I didn't played for like 90 days, so there is a possibility this is battery related; anyway this is what I did before the problem manifested:
1) connected the console to PC and with the Hekate payload (5.0.1) my Switch turns on in Hekate menu as usual (the battery was at 31%)
2) clicked the "Launch" icon but the console oddly turned off
3) turned on again and this time I managed to click both "Launch" and the "emunand" button (don't remember the actual name);
the console shows me two icons (the usual ones, Atmosphere and another) but after that seems dead again
4) I retry turning it on. The console turned on and I successfully removed autoRCM (thinking it was the main problem) shutting down with the buttons in the menu.
From now starts a strange battery loop, and every time I try to turn the Switch on it only shows the battery on a black screen, for a brief moment every like 4-5 seconds
5) this time i thought the problem was the battery (and I still believe so); I decide to charge the Switch all night in the dock. After that nothing changes
Results: while it's not connected to an electric source the console just remains black and I can't turn anything on
While it's connected if I hold power for some seconds it shows me the Nintendo logo and after that only the battery icon and the battery icon again, forever
In the exact moment I disconnect the Switch from electric source the console shuts down instantly
My warranty is still valid so should I send the console back to Nintendo (living in Europe btw)? Also the console has 2 pixel burnt, so I have 2 reasons
to send it back... obviously right now there is an high chance that i will receive as a replacement a patched unit, but I can't do anything about that
For me the most important thing is being able to use emulators, watch movies, Android and stuff (actually the only Switch game I played in
emunand was Smash and just to try DLC characters, because I already bought the physical game to play the stinky online :glare:)
What's the best possible thing to do? Send it back to Nintendo as it is right now? Try to fix it (if there is a way) and then sell the console/trade
it to my videogame store to have a discount on a new one? I don't even know if there are still unpatched consoles around
Sorry for the long post but to be helped I know I need to be precise. Thanks a lot in advance!

Send this back to Nintendont. Don't try anything on your own if the warranty is still valid.

Don't know how but today I tried again and it actually turned on! Now the only problem left are the 2 burned pixels :rofl2:
Anyway thanks a lot for the reply!

Well, you can't do anything about those two burned pixels. It needs to have 9 broken pixels. Otherwise Nintendo will say that it still complies with display industry standards

I have the same problem. What did you try to make it work?
All I did was leaving the Switch charge overnight. First, second and third time didn't worked but with this last try the console turned on, finally. I also noticed that before the last attempt the battery icon was nearly empty (so maybe AutoRCM was still in function, even if I deactivated it). Hope this could be helpful for you and sorry for the late response :P

Thanks! It hasn't worked yet so I'll try that.
