None of us have finished every game we've played. I try to at least finish the main quest but sometimes give up for one reason or another.

- Final Fantasy 7, I didn't have a Playstation back in the day and it was too outdated and unenjoyable by the time I played it.
- Seiken Densetsu 3, I accidentally restored an old save state from the very beginning of the game, overwriting my save file and losing a dozen or so hours of progress.
- Luigi's Mansion 3, the puzzles didn't make much sense to me, it was a matter of trying everything I can think of until something works.
- Super Metroid, I tried this several times but for various reasons stopped playing before I got very far. I intend to complete it in the future.
- Eternal Oasis, nothing about the game appealed to me.thankyou

Mine was Final Fantasy 8. Got really far, was near the end. Spent a several hour long play session going around completing some stuff and doing what I had to do to get some summons (like doomtrain). Then I landed on an island and ended up in a random battle with some marlboros that kept my party confused and/or asleep until they killed me. I didn't feel like doing all that again and wound up never going back to it.

I could write a fucking book with all the games I've never finished for one reason or another

But just recently:

1) Code Vein. I started this one off because I was in the mood for a Souls-like after replaying all the Soulsborne games, and just didn't really enjoy the gameplay all that much overall, it's missing that "Souls" charm (like pretty much every Souls-like ever that's not Soulsborne, I suppose).

2) The Surge 2. Same thing as above, though it was moreso I got distracted by other games than anything. I might go back and finish it eventually.

3) BOTW. While I've already played through the whole game beforehand at launch, I started up a new playthrough on Cemu when I got my Razer Blade a month-ish ago to test emulation performance on it. I managed to get about 18 hours into it, grabbed the Masster sword and did the DLC stuff to fully upgrade it (which I don't think I've ever finished before) annnnnd pretty much after that I got bored out of my mind of it and couldn't bother playing any more. I really hope BOTW 2 doesn't have the same shitty "120 shrines!!! Mini Dungeons!!!" BS, and has some proper dungeons that don't take 10 minutes to finish.

4) Baba is You. Apparently I got to like the last set of puzzles in the game, but never went back and finished it off.

5) Wolcen Lord of Mayhem. Started this off when it launched because it looked neat, ended up abandoning it cuz it was too buggy, crashed and lost my save. Might pick it up if the game ever becomes more stable.

6) Halo 5. Another game I've actually finished before at launch, but tried to replay it again after finishing the MCC and just couldn't do it, not after marathoning the previous games which are so much better IMO.

And tons more, but lately I've been trying really hard to focus on finishing games I start instead of flitting from one thing to the next. Hopefully I can keep that up

My 3DS died... and I left:
  • Ever Oasis
  • Smash Bros for 3DS
  • Animal Crossing
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
  • Pokemon Shuffle
  • Pokemon Rumble World
  • New Super Mario Bros 2
  • Mario Kart 7
  • Zen Pinball 3D
  • Pac Man & Galaga Dimensions
Yesterday I began to play Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, but for some stupid reason Retroarch for Wii deletes my savefile to a certain point.
Like this morning I killed Death and got the thing that lets you walk underwater, and got to the "sewers" and I was intendint to get the fucking soul of a fucking demon, and Retroarch crashed. I of course saved the game at that point in a Save Room... and when I reopened my file, I noticed that I was at the Corridors at level 2 and nothing but my fucking knife.

Fuck.

Breath of the Wild: the last 3 years have been a mess in my life, so my gaming time is limited, and Zelda games are just never too high on the priority list
Xenoblade Chronicles X and 2: same reason for both — got stuck on a boss and couldn't be arsed to grind or backtrack a lot for equipment. Should go back to those eventually.
Pokémon Moon, Ultra Sun, Let's Go Eevee and Shield: I always buy both Pokémon versions, since I play alone and it's the only way to get version exclusives. When I was a kid, I had time to play through both right away, but that doesn't happen now, so the second version of each pair tends to get postponed to "whenever I get the time".

Youl prob hav to start over which is no bad thing as can play in different ways as its very easy to forget what yr skills do and side stuff you may hav left open and won't finish plus forgetting the story of the game

There are a bunch of mods you can add to FF7 PC with 7th Heaven; The Reunion and Remako to modernize the game (fixed/improved mechanics, 60FPS, improved models/textures, improved backgrounds, re-translated dialogue), worth a try :)

Danganronpa V3.
I don't know why but I loved the first two even though they were broken and kinda dumb in places but the third one I just sort of lost interest halfway through and haven't gone back.

I can think of a handful
  1. Mario bros 3 (Nes/Snes)
  2. Sonic Mania (Switch)
  3. New Super Mario bros (Wii)
  4. Minecraft PE (At least not without using cheats like commands; or creative mode.)
  5. This is too long already so ECT.

I was playing Witcher 3 on my PC. Because I have grown up with mostly strategy genre, I am not that good at action games. I was struggling even in easy difficulty and finally, I gave up. I decided to try and play the game again after I play Bannerlord.

I was playing Mario vs. Donkey Kong on my PSP and to my surprise, I was nearly finishing the game. But I got stuck at a level and took a long break.

I was really enjoying Super Mario 3D Land before the bottom screen of my 3DS died. Just a few levels left, I had to stop playing because of the horrible issue with my 3DS. I hope I can finish the game at any time soon.

Oh man, I feel like a list of games I've finished would be shorter. Threw it in a spoiler since it's so godawfully long

-Tales of Symphonia
I've been playing it on and off ever since I bought it. I'm only about half-way through for now
-Hollow Knight
Haven't given it much time. I know it'll get fun if I play it more but it's too slow at the start for me
-Okami
Game feels too slow for me to put hours in at once
-Child of Light
Man I love games like this. I've got no excuse.
-.hack//G.U. Vol.3//Redemption
Just haven't given it the time. My HDD got corrupted about 10 hours into this chapter and I haven't come back to it, even though I've loved every minute of the games
-Borderlands 2
I know I need to play it and I know I'll enjoy it but I just haven't
-Stardew Valley
I'll get really far, get bored, cheat in stuff, and never come back
-Devil May Cry 4
It's a fun game, practicing with Nero is just meh and I'm not through his chunk of the game
-Bravely Second
I got to the part where Yew and Magnolia's relationship takes a turn in Hartschild, didn't like the result, lost motivation, and soon my 3DS SD got corrupted
-The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
I've loved what time I put into the game and I'd love to actually finish a game where Vaati is the antagonist but I've never put the hours needed into it
-Golden Sun
I think I'll start this one over tomorrow. I've got real back luck with SD corruption and thus lost my save for this game that had about 20 hours on it; I very much loved playing this game though
-Super Meat Boy
Haven't given it the time
-Fire Emblem Fates
I couldn't. No story gripped me at all.
-Dragon Quest 8
I need to give the DQ series a full chance. They're the kinds of games I'd love but none of them have enticed me
-Pokemon Moon/Ultra Moon
I really wanted to love these games, I really did. Their hand-holdiness pushed me away from new Pokemon entries probably for good
-Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam
Probably pushed me away from the Mario and Luigi series for good
-7th Dragon III Code: VFD
Far too easy to become overleveled and just kinda breeze through everything. I would've quit Earthbound if I didn't get OP so close to the end of it (I was level 88 when I finally got a Sword of Kings. Save edited my game down 30 levels and I was still OP. Even looked at a spreadsheet of character-stats-at-level so I knew all of the stats were acceptable)

Bravely Default- the third fight against a certain major character at the end of chapter 6 was too hard for the wrong reasons, and by that point the whole "repeat world loop" thing got really boring.
And now that I hacked my 3DS and have Bravely Second (you can connect the dots between those two- come on, I needed something to do during the quarantine), I probably won't return to it. I may cheese through it with cheats soon, but I sure as hell am not playing through the latter chapters legitimately.
