Unfortunately it's not working for me. On game launch i get fatal screen. i'm on latest atmo.

i am not on latest atmosphere. I am on the version just before. I doubt that is problem. I am on firmware 9.1.0. But prior to this openbor was not working for me. Doublecheck setup.
I'm not sure what i should check, i just copied the nro to the switch folder, moved 3 games to Paks folder and they all crash on first loading. Everything else is working fine so maybe i found a bug?

well make sure you put paks in a paks folder on root of sd and the nro in a folder called OpenBOR in your switch folder. Path should be Switch/OpenBOR/OpenBOR.nro for paks /Paks/game.paks. To be honest based on what you described your OpenBor is prob fine (it loads) but your paks are prob not. Hope that helps! Not a bug though...
My folder structure was a bit different than what you pointed (i just put my paks in the generated paks folder inside switch folder) but after modifying to the following:
Paks > /Paks/game.paks
Switch/OpenBOR/OpenBOR.nro
when i enter OpenBOR it says that there's no paks in paks folder.
Here's another update, OpenBOR Switch v1.1. Docked mode now works, the aspect ratio correction now works, it now has an icon, and more. Download and more information:

I just tested the latest version, whenever i launch a game, it crashes when loading, it also crashes for me if i press "-" to exit on main screen.

I haven't tested latest but looks like you can select paks now at least. For me docked mode worked fine (it's how I made the video) so not sure about that not working. Anywho how do you launch openbor? If you notice in my case I used an nro forwarder which gives me full ram. Are you using an installed nsp to launch homebrew menu or are you launching via the album in applet mode? You need full ram so I would launch via an nro forwarder for openbor or an installed nsp switch game by pressing r button while launching the game. Hope this helps.

sorry no but I will post my video where I show you how to make one! better to teach a fellow how to fish if you ask me. As for using a forwarder you don't need to use one. As long as you um own a switch game or have a legit nsp to install. Just saying:
But yeah we finally figured out your problem! It's you! So yeah you should NEVER load homebrew that way. Always use an installed NSP to load homebrew channel. If you want to be fancy use a forwarder...It's only explained like a million times in this forum...read up...
Indeed the problem was no other than myself, i just tried with title redirection and now it works fine. About the forwarder, no prob, i actually know how to use Nro2Nsp but currently i have no access to windows computer and the mono way simply doesn't work for me. Since i'm not feeling fancy i'm happy with title redirection.

I didn't know they made an MSU cart for the Genesis.... I knew about the SNES one and the library for that is rather large but the Genesis one has very few games+1
