Keyword is forever

Also the ps3 later models support hybrid firmware it was only a matter of time
Well, "forever" is impossible to quantify. We have no way to know if it's forever because forever hasn't happened yet. Just doesn't make sense to use that word in this context. It might be forever, or it might not.

You might be waiting a long time but realistically it could be tomorrow it could be 10 years from now some form of exploit will probably pop up eventually but lowest firmware possible is always suggested. All these guys sayings it's never going to happen on X.X.X firmware are just making an educated guess and were saying the same thing about firmwares back when it first started too. Nobody knows but I think it's enivitable that one day, even if it took 50 years the console will be exploitable on this firmware. So you must be thinking why am I going in a pointless rant? No idea but it's up to you to prioritise whether you want to play games or want to suffer trying to avoid updates for something that may or may not happen and likely won't anytime soon. I'd honestly just seek an unpatched console out if possible most people don't even know they have a hackable switch or care for it. Could probably even trade consoles if you knew them well.
