I just got a new unpatched switch, am using emunand and atmosphere. I just installed some games using tinfoil to the nand because the sd card was full. Now I have two questions:
1.
I haven't gone online yet in the non-hacked nand, if I open it the games I installed using tinfoil do not show up. Will it be able to detect these games being installed on the same memory? I really do not wanna be banned.

2.
I once tried booting my switch to hekate using a payload but forgot to press the plus button when booting. The pins where connected and a payload injector was plugged in. Will the switch os register this and ban me when I go online, or shouldn't I be worried?

Thanks for your time,

Switchsswitch

I just loaded all the cheats from the Edizon CheatsConfigsandScripts master file, and my Switch booted fine, but once I set Atmosphere to dmnt_cheats_enabled_by_default to disabled my Switch just sits at a black screen after the Nintendo logo, can someone help? I had loading a save game, and having all cheats enabled.

Edit: Commenting out Enable_deprecated_hid_mitm fixed the boot issue, but keeps NX Shell from running, but I do not use NX Shell, so no loss.

Is there any chance at all that someone can point me towards a site that has Switch Game Saves on it?

I can't find any saves to download and use with Checkpoint! Specifically looking for a 100% save of Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Triliogy if anyone can help me out here...? Cheers!

Hey guys I keep getting panic warnings whenever I try to use fugee-primary.bin to boot. When I use hekate_ctcaer_5.1.2.bin, I'm able to boot just fine. But I know Tinfoil won't work with hekate payload so I need to use fugee.

Here's what I see:
Panic occurred while running Atmosphere.
Title ID: 0100000000000008
Error Desc: std: : abort<t> <0xFFE>
Press POWER to continue.

My software versions:
Atmosphere: 0.10.3
emunand is 9.1
Hekate: 5.1.2

So I accidentally updated a game following a tutorial in YT, i was trying to connect my switch to my computer without turning it off to transfer stuff with FTP, then when i was going to verify if internet was not connecting to Nintendo, it actually updated the game, then it turned off, when i try to turn it on again, all i can see is sept logo then atmosphere logo really quickly then just a black screen. I'm freaking out.

I'm trying to setup SX and AMS on the same emunand but having some difficulty. I make the SX emunand first and then create an emummc folder on root with an emummc.ini with this info: [emummc] enabled = 1 sector = 0x2 nintendo_path = Emutendo ". This info is recognised in hekate but when I try launching fusee primary I get an immediate black screen, I have tried reformatting and starting from scratch, same result. When I migrate emunand using hekate I get spet and atmosphere boot logos and then a black screen.

Extra info:AMS=0.10.3, CFW=9.1, Stock=9.0.1, I just deleted my hidden emunand partition to make an sd file one(is not using hiddent a bad idea?). SX CFW (emunand) and Stock are booting fine.

Update: Working from another SD, going to try reformatting again!

Update2: Bit the bullet and went with a hidden install since it was the simplest solution apparent to me.

OK, so my switch is banned (which doesnt actually bother me)

Ive switched it on tonight and a load of games are telling me there is an update available, two different messages depending on which game i try and start:

A software update is required, update data will be downloaded now - game cannot start because of this
A new update is available, it will be downloaded now - i can bypass this and start game.

I'm assuming this is because the new firmware is out for the switch over the last few days. Quite how the switch knows when I have no connection to any internet with it I dont know.

But what do i do now to make the games playable again if I am banned?

Is there an easy, or recommended tutorial to take in order to manually update the firmware etc? Or what should I do now?

Alright so this will probably be long and idk if I should start a new post/thread for this, but I figured I'd try here first:

So... I've been wanting to mod my Switch for a while, OG unpatched version. I bought a second Switch and started using that as my main. The OG was on FW 8.0.1 when I purchased the second Switch and I had planned to keep it on that FW to mod it, my thought process being that keeping the FW lower would be better for modding. I finally mustered up the courage to begin the modding. In preparation, a couple days ago I tried to deregister it as my primary Switch from the console itself but I couldn't do that without it prompting me to update the FW since I had to access the eShop, so I just used my once yearly deregister that I'm allowed via the Nintendo website. So I did that, and today I was gonna delete my main account that's still on the OG Switch, which I'm using my second Switch as the primary console for, since I don't plan on modding that one. Well... it won't let me delete that user account without connecting to the internet (WTHHHH Nintendo???). So I connect to the internet and try to delete it again, it seems to get a little farther along this time but then it asks me to update the FW. Uggghhhh. I just don't want my main account that I'm using on my second (And now primary) Switch to be associated in any way with a console that is modded. My plan was to delete that account and create a new Nintendo ID solely for this modded console for situations where I need to connect to the interwebz on SysNAND. So, I just decided to move forward with modding and create the emuNAND. Before I did this though I checked my apps and I had this random "Octopath Traveller" demo as pretty much the only thing left installed on my SysNAND. In the guide it was recommended that I have an app installed for use with homebrew launcher. I tried launching it after deregistering the console as my primary Switch to make sure that it would launch without that whole "checking to see if the content is usable" or whatever bs that appears once its not your primary console anymore, and it worked with no issues using both my main account and some random offline account one of my buddies made. The app opened right away without being connected to the internet or trying to check anything, so I figured this was the perfect app to keep for use as a full-capability homebrew menu launcher on emuNAND (access to all the RAM, full-feature web browser, etc.). For some reason, now that I've moved forward and finished modding, this app no longer opens, as it tries to do the online check now, even though it's a stupid demo. I don't understand how that happens after I specifically checked it after I had deregistered the console as my primary, but for some reason now it's behaving like the usual app that has to check if it's being used by the primary console or whatever. So that's another issue which I would like to solve, as I'd rather not have to launch homebrew menu from a cartridge. After doing a bunch of research, I'm left overwhelmed as to how to proceed solving these two issues (deleting my main account from both emu and sysNAND, and getting an app downloaded for use as a homebrew menu launcher). I've read all kinds of scary info and conflicting information that has left my head spinning as to what to do because I'm a complete n00b to the Switch Scene. All sorts of things about fuses, and bricking, and bans, and Nintendo accounts being unusable on sysNAND which have left me confused and feeling stuck. So my question is: how should I proceed? I know that these are not major issues, as I could probably just keep my primary account linked to the console and use a cartridge to launch the HB Menu, but these things bother me and I'd really like to resolve them if possible. The account issue for peace of mind, and the HB Menu thing mainly for convenience, plus because of some issues I read about concerning cartridge reader FW, burnt fuses, and no longer being able to read cartridges on emuNAND in certain scenarios. So... Should I reinitialize (format) sysNAND? Will that cause issues with emuNAND? Theoretically you'd think it shouldn't since they're separate, right, but I'm worried due to all the crap I've read in the past 12 hours. And as far as deleting the account from emuNAND, I had assumed there was some kind of homebrew route to delete users from there. I read something about an app called DevMenu, but that scares me as well. Should I just format emuNAND too? Do I need to format (reinitialize) one before the other? What I'd like to do here ideally is delete my main account from both emuNAND and sysNAND, add a new user account/Nintendo ID dedicated to this Swtich and make it the primary console for that account, update sysNAND to latest firmware in order to restore online capabilities and download a random app to use as a dedicated homebrew menu launcher on emuNAND. Unless I can use a locally installed "backup" app on emuNAND as a homebrew menu launcher... Is that possible or does it have to be an "official" eShop app?

Kefir Updater can link a fake Nintendo Account however it will mess with your save data. Back them up before using Kefir,

You seem to have several misunderstands about the Nintendo Switch.
  1. Nobody has been banned for using the same Nintendo Account on their modded console. Others have used the Nintendo Account from a banned console on an unbanned console without any negative repercussions
  2. You don't necessarily need anything installed or a cartridge to launch the homebrew menu. This is designed to give the homebrew menu more RAM but this is doable by either installing the homebrew application you wish to use as a .NSP file or installing the homebrew menu as a .NSP file. This is discouraged because of the belief that any NSP will ban you but that is farther from the truth. Not everyone who uses .NSP files are banned and people have been banned without using .NSP files
  3. Burnt fuses have no bearing on emuMMC. You can just accept this as is but the reason is because the payloads use to boot emuMMC called bootloaders bypass the fuse check and since you can only boot into emuMMC with a bootloader, fuses will always be bypassed
  4. The use of cartridges depend on multiple factors. First, there have been 2 updates for the cartridge slot. One was released on firmware 4.0 and the other with firmware 9.0. These irreversible updates make it so that retail cartridges cannot be played on lower firmware versions than the one it was installed on. For example, installing the update from firmware 4.0 will make it impossible to play retail cartridges on firmware versions below 4.0. The only way to stop the update from being applied is to break the cartridge slot is in the form of nogc. Effectively, this means you must choose between only being able to play cartridges on lower or higher firmware versions.
  5. This is a bit of a nitpick but in order to avoid confusion, the Nintendo Switch does not use the Nintendo Network ID. Only the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS systems use that as stated on their website. The Nintendo Switch uses a different account system called the Nintendo Account.

Sorry for my noobish question, Hacked my switch two days ago- I got emummc up and running, and currently mt sysnand is on 5.1, believe my emucc is too,

I want to update my SYSNAND to the latest release so I can play animal crossing online, What're the proper steps to keep my CFW, and update it when I want/need too, update the SYSNAND and play online without getting banned,

Also do burnt fuses really matter? What's the talk wit hthis? some people say yes, others say no.

Also if anyone could tell me possibly how to use tinfoil that'd also be cool- I launch it, but I get it needs an internet connection, currently at the moment I have everything erased, If i used a internet connection while on EMUmmc, I can get banned, right? So I need to use the 90 DNS?

Edit: I've also launched CFW sysnand through herkate I think once or tiwce on accident/setting up emumcc maybe? Not sure.. Never had an internet connection- am I gonan get banned?

Hi, when I try to access homebrew thorough the album in Atmosphere CFW while playing Metro: Last Light, it doesn't show, yet when I close the game, I can then access the homebrew without an issue. Metro is the only game that does that. anyone knows why? System is AMS 0.9.4

I think you can only access the homebrew menu when the game is not active.

NS-USBloader has a Linux port.
