Homebrew PCHex error message

Hi all,
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area, I felt this was the most appropriate place to post this. I have had homebrew for quite some time, maybe 6 or 7 months. I just installed PCHex, which is supposed to be a gen 6 save file editor (I found on GBAtemp). I want to edit my Pokemon Y save file. I went onto the homebrew menu and tried opening PCHex but it comes up with the following error message:
'This homebrew exploit does not have support for launching applications under target titles. Please use a different exploit.'
I was confused because Pokemon Y is a gen 6 game, but it is as if PCHex can't read it? The same thing happened with JK's Save Manager. Help please!

1. What method are you using to access the Homebrew Launcher?
2. PCHex hasn't been updated in 5 years. I urge you to use PKSM instead.
3. Most people here are using Custom Firmware. You may like to install it using Plailect's 3DS Hacks Guide, as it comes with a slew of other improvements among allowing you to install homebrew to the system menu.

1. I have an actual homebrew launcher application on my home screen.
2. PKSM comes up with the same error when trying to open it through the homebrew launcher. When I just open it is an application, it comes up with 'downloading assets #1' through to 'downloading assets #12' and it says redirection failed after all each of the assets. After 12, it just says 'restart application' and then the same thing happens again.
3. Will try that later on today, thanks. Do I have to change anything in regards to my current homebrew in order to proceed with the Plailect's Guide?

1. Hold on just a second. Can you do me a favor and turn on your 3DS while holding SELECT and then tell me if it says something different?
3. Let's not do that just yet. I have a sneaking suspicion your homebrew setup may be outdated.

Okay, so you're on the latest version. Odd, as I don't have any issues with PKHeX at all.
Can you try opening PKSM again?

PKHeX isn't the issue; that's the PC program I was planning to use to actually edit my save file. The problem is that no save manager opens when I try opening them. Just tried PKSM, not working.

Are you using .3dsx files or the .cia files of these programs?

.3dsx files for all of them to open them through the homebrew launcher, but I also have a couple of applications like FBI and PKSM replicated so I can access them on the home menu. Both the .cia and .3dsx of PKSM aren't working.

Are you using the latest version? try https://github.com/FlagBrew/PKSM/releases and see if that one works better for you

Sure, will try that. I think I just used the link from a YouTube video, which was released about 2 months before I got homebrew, so will try that. Thanks, I'll update if it doesn't work.

Oops, sorry, I meant PKSM
my brain is trying to focus on several things at once, sorry!

Hmm...
Do you have the latest version of the Homebrew Launcher Wrapper and the Homebrew Launcher itself? Sounds to me like one of them may be outdated.

Aswell for JKSM also try this one https://github.com/J-D-K/JKSM/releases for having it updated for you.

I would actually recommend abandoning JKSM altogether and using Checkpoint instead.

Checkpoint backs up the save files and for me for some reason it won't let me import the save file back to the game. Anyway, fixed the problem, just had to update JKSM (beginner mistake, I'm stupid af). Just edited my Pokemon Y save file an all is good. I did try to do the same for Pokemon White 2 and for some reason all the Pokemon I edited in have 0 HP? I can't heal them when I go the Pokemon Centre either. I wasted all my Revives.
