I agree that 3/4 to much, but most elements and pad he lost trying to prepare pads with thick solder tip.
Usually i clean PCBs with q-tips and 99% IPA does 90% of the jobs, plus easy to see performance on the tip.
I Use brush only for finishing between pads of chips and only in pair with KIMTECH fiber-less Wipes.
Other way brush itself doesn't clean... just creates huge mess, you need something to absorb the flux and IPA residue.

No rush you will get it, first time always a bit shaky and worrying =)

You have shorted caps, and chip need alignment.
It's damn hard without proper magnification when you don't have an experiance.
If you prepare chip placement pads correctly surface tension must do all the job.
I wouldn't turn it on.
I bet you learned a ton working on this project.

Can you show me how it has to be aligned?
It looks alright to me, except for some nm or something which shouldn't be a problem.
And yes, I've learned a lot working on this. I never worked on this size of SMD components before.

You did a good job to replace all missing components that were blowed.
I know it is difficult to find the good feeling with chip alignment when you begin with this kind of component. But you should really try to realign the chip.

See picture attached for your chip aligment. Can you please send us pictures to see the other faces of the chip ?

You can check if there is no more shorts on PI3USB (see picture) and also nearby M92T36.
I have doubt on picture quality regarding capacitors spacement (see attached)

Please double check these points before powering the motherboard to avoid burning components and maybe ruine you motherboard.

You’ll need to put that ic back where it belongs or you’ll have no 3.3 volts anywhere.

I tried to push it back using loads of flux and 420°C, air at lowest speed.
How can I check for shorts?
