3/4 speed is too much, you will blow small components out of alignment, guessing that's what happened judging by the picture. About half speed or just under half seems to be good from what I have seen (not my own experience but from watching soldering videos on YouTube), having a steady hand is also important (caffeine is a no no)
I agree that 3/4 to much, but most elements and pad he lost trying to prepare pads with thick solder tip.
Usually i clean PCBs with q-tips and 99% IPA does 90% of the jobs, plus easy to see performance on the tip.
I Use brush only for finishing between pads of chips and only in pair with KIMTECH fiber-less Wipes.
Other way brush itself doesn't clean... just creates huge mess, you need something to absorb the flux and IPA residue.
I can't find the 10nf 25v 0201 caps. Can I use something different?
What is going on with chip? is it secured and all pads properly soldered?
No rush you will get it, first time always a bit shaky and worrying =)
