There's a difference--she's like the U.S.S.R with an "iron" "fist" and I'm America in the 1990's.
What I mean, she wants "control" and I want people to be able to ask questions, talk about ways to improve understanding and learn freely.
On top of that, I give links to others' work in one area (so links don't get buried), while she goes on those pages, takes the code, puts it in her thread and gives no credit.
TL; 2true, this is a place where people can ask questions without burying threads--hence the "Discusssion". Her's is a "WIP(Theft In Progress?)" "glory" h...w8...she's stealin' and feelin' (like not crediting people).

I guess we're in this now--but I'm super-serious about keeping the DLC codes quiet when it comes out. I'd much rather organize a way to split the workload and make sure everyone gets credit.

I do not have SXOS, but I had to ask because SXOS has a cheat function--I usually blindly search for things and see if it breaks the game (partly why my save is fucked right now).
I don't have: FB, Twitter, Discord ( I think....definitely don't use it if I do), Instagram....I don't even know how many other social sites I don't have. I think I have a youtube, but that's....for a different thing.

I used to be all about online stuff, but my life is wild and I'd never be able to do anything besides reply to people..and coupling GBAtemp with that, plus everything else, I'd never sleep. Hell, I barely get 4 hours a day.
Well discord has a cell phone app and a PC app that makes communication way easier and sxos does have a cheat function but I don't know the difference between 8 bit 16 bit 32 bit and 64 bit unsigned/signed.
It's where memory is stored for stuff, like, "money" (or things with big numbers) is sometimes stored in S32. Sometimes, it isn't and the code changes, even when you find the value.
Example, I tried finding XC2 legendary cores with S/U 16 and 32b--it found the address of the item, but then it changed when I tried it; i.e. I had 17 cores, searched for 17, found 3000 matches for 17, then used one, it found 16, I changed 4 addresses to 99, when I went back, the address changed and I had 15.
Numerical health (99/99 HP) and "heart health" use different points. Sometimes floating points, sometimes not.
There are a few youtube videos that explain it way better (and faster) than I can.

Assuming the title of the codes are correct, the difference would be the actualization variable. The first you have to hold R, so those values will correspond to button input. If R is held the following cheat code will apply. Whereas the second code has no such actualization, hence it being on all the time.
Personally I prefer button activated codes. I like to put in my time to shiny hunt or whatever, but also life is life and I can't spend 20+ hours for one Pokemon. I have to spend those hours studying for graduate school.
Right before. If you do it as the battle starts, 2bad. Pretty much, hold it while you're walking around and think a mon will jump out.
Even if you do it right as you see the "!", it won't count.
I can't thank you enough for the hold (R) codes. I just updated both pkmn games b/c of these cheats. The original format is just not convenient to deal with, nobody wants to exit out of the game just to disable certain cheats completely or tuning them off manually everytime. Hopefully Shield will get the perfect IV cheat soon thats all I need for it and I'm set.

Make sure that your cheats in are in atmosphere/contents/TitleID/cheats/buildid.txt
AMS points to a new folder when looking for cheats
