For those not in the know, a couple months back it was discovered by extrems that all wii games have a 480p display glitch built into them due to an issue with the dev kits, which can easily be patched out. https://www.retrorgb.com/wii-480p-video-bug-discovered.html
Since then I remember reading that most Backup loader devs were planning on implementing this fix themselves to save users the time of downloading codes and patching games, but this was months ago, and to my knowledge, nothing has been fixed or officially implemented yet. Is this true, or am I out of the loop and has it been implemented in most/all the Backup loaders already?

Didn't heard of the bug until now. The vWii isn't affected, right?

The bug is on the first Wii models, and probably some RVL 40 boards, newer ones don't have the bug included
To be specific, it's a bug in the Wii SDK, not a design flaw in the original Wii models' component output. Newer revisions of the Wii (and, naturally, the Wii U's backwards compatibility) hotfixed this bug in hardware, but the root cause was never officially patched.

Do you know if RVL 30 has the video bug?

And does the latest version "USBLoaderGX r1272" have the fix or do we need to compile a patched version?

The latest build of USBLoaderGX (r1272) not only has the patch, but you can see an option for it in the settings. Not sure about RVL-30's (I think it was the 40s and above that were "fixed" in hardware), but it cannot hurt one of these models to enable the software fix.

Thanks! And 240p/480i is unaffected in all software correct? It's only 480p that has issues?

Edit: And Running Gamecube games via Nintendont through USBLoaderGX is also fixed with latest build? cheers.
