So apparently Nintendo even requires consoles to be unbanned to use simple things like cloud saves. I was unable to find a fix anywhere so just created it myself: Here is an ips patch to enable cloud saves for both gog and steam on banned consoles.
Just drop the contents of the zip in your atmosphere folder and enjoy the power of cloud saves.

Holy Shit, it works! Tested both Switch to PC and PC to Switch using 90dns. Savegames transfered without problem, works great.

EDIT: I forgot to add that I only tested the GOG GOTY version, since I don't have the Steam version of the game.

It does allow me to load Steam login page (does not error out any more) but it hangs right after that freezing the whole console (doesn't react to touches, button presses, not even home button), so I had to hard power off the console (as even pressing power for a long time wouldn't bring up sleep/power menu). I'm using 90dns.

You can use checkpoint to go from PC to Switch, cloud saves or conversions aren't necessary. I'm not sure why it's not working for him though
Do you know if this would work for SXOS?
Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. It does at least let me attempt to log into GOG now, but it fails to log in after I enter my info. So I'm about half way there now lol. I guess I'm still waiting for an offline solution then. Thanks for this though, I hope it works for other people.

So i downloaded and load Steam save but it said "load save failed", does anyone know how to fix it? i like this way than use checkpoint.
i just tried you file i can log on to steam through the witcher 3 but trying to load a game save from steam i just get there was an error dose any one have any ideas on what i can try i am using SXOS
used dns90 and works fine with steam

I'm glad you figured it out, maybe I should try 90DNS then because it won't work for me, but maybe it's just GOG that's the problem since Steam is working for you.
It was sxos stealth mode that was stopping the ips patch from fully working for me turned that off and followed the steps for 90dns and it worked first try

Does the cloud save transfer process require Nintendo's online subscription? Even with the IPS patch?
Does it have to be facilitated via 90DNS or would Google DNS work as well?
Would it be possible to edit GoG / Steam saves and then convert / transfer to Switch?

I didn't know they made an MSU cart for the Genesis.... I knew about the SNES one and the library for that is rather large but the Genesis one has very few games+1
