Hey everyone,

I have just bought a new modded Switch and the former owner did the Ingognito_RCM payload method to remove the PRODINFO from the SysNAND.
I searched on the SD card and I could not find the file this payload generates but there is a file named "XAW00000000000_PRODINFO.bin" (or something like this) under the "atmosphere\backup" folder despite the fact this console uses SXOS.

Is there anyway I could check this file validity and, perhaps, restore the SysNAND PRODINFO with it?

Thanks in advance!

All right, first, make a full backup of your Switch using either Hekate or NxNand Manager 3 (I would recommend NxNand since it can create the backup directly on your computer).

Once it's done, follow these steps :
1. Turn off your Switch and boot it on RCM mode
2. Use TegraRCM to dump your bis keys on a txt file
3. Use TegraRCM to mount emmcRawNAND
4. Use NxNand to mount the physical "Linux Storage" nand of your Switch
5. Import the bis keys from the txt file you created
6. Right click on PRODINFO > Backup > Back it up just in case
7. Right click on PRODINFO > Restore > select your atmosphere autobackup
8. If you have warning messages, just skip them
9. Reboot the Switch
10. ??????
11. Profit.

If you need more precisions, just ask

XAW00000000000 means it's after the installation of Incognito. If you cannot get the prodinfo backup from the previous owner, this Switch will never connect to Nintendo's online services.

Put your prodinfo_backup.bin to the root of your sdcard and use Incognito_RCM to restore it.

prodinfo.bin with approximately 3.8mb and when i try to read it with my hex editor that it does show my switch serial number

- Turn off the Switch, then boot into RCM mode and use TegraRCM to mount emmc rawNAND
- Use NxNand Backup Manager to mount the Nand partitions
- Backup the actual PRODINFO partition (right click, backup)
- Restore your backup file (right click, restore)

I don't think you'll need to decrypt it but if you have to, just use RCM mode + biskeydump from TegraRCM to make a txt file with your keys

th
I'm not talking about rawnand backup. You have to mount your ACTUAL nand physically and edit it directly from NxNand. That's why you have to backup PRODINFO from the software before restoring it from your own file.
thank you i did it but one last question is that
where do i click to save the restored prodinfo ??

So your serial number is now available on your settings menu ?

You're welcome :) but now please : MAKE A RAWNAND BACKUP !! And keep it safe.
yes it is and it's no longer xaw000000000000
i just did think that i had to go to buy another switch but luckily i did use recover software to take prodinfo back that i had accidentally deleted and do exactly what you instruct me

I have the same problem. According to the owner, he told me that he ran Incognito and accidentally backup the XAW0000000 file. So whenever He runs it, or restore it. It will be in the same state. As the TC posted, I also looked into the SD card and it show the Offical Prodinfo.bin in the automatic backup folder. It has 2 files. 1 with BISkeys and the other with Prodinfo.bin. One has 1 kB while the other has 32kb I tried the step above restore it, it I get an error s it seems to be a different file. So Can this switch no longer go back to it original serial number? Will it no longer work online? I’m sorry. I am a noob to this and have very little experience with hacking. Thanks in advance.

Follow these steps :
1. Make a rawNand Backup from hekate or NxNand
2. Boot your Switch into RCM Mode then use TegraRCM to mount emmc_rawNand
3. Use NxNand to a. mount the nand, b. backup the actual Prodinfo partition (just in case, even if its a modified one)
4. Restore the Prodinfo partition from your 32kb file

You have 1 out of 2 chances that the backup file has been made after the Switch have been "anonymized", but try it anyways, as long as you made a rawNand backup, it's no big deal to manipulate the Nand at this level.

Hi again. I did exactly as instructed, however, When I try to restore it from the automatic back up from my folder on my computer I get the code error 1004. I also thank you in advance for your help.
