Hello. I had an issue today that's worrying me quite a lot. After like 7 months without using my 3DS, i wanted to see if everything still worked correctly. I had Luma, B9S (i don't really know, I'm kind of noobish at this) and NTRBoot installed. Soon after, I saw that I couldn't install any CIAs, replace save files, or any kind of CFW stuff. Then I decided to update my 3DS to ''try'' fixing that, but it didn't work at all.

Then I decided to get rid of the CFW. I updated without any issues, (from 11.8 to 11.13) and after that I formatted my console. Everything fine at this point. I then wanted to make sure that there weren't any remnants of the CFW files in my SD card, so I plugged my card to the PC and saw that, to my surprise, the SD card was untouched (therefore, with all of the CFW files in it) So I formatted it and plugged it back to my 3ds. And now, whenever I try to boot it up, it just displays the blue light and then turns off.

So, is this a brick or can still be solved? Thanks in advance.

Formatting the 3ds does not remove cfw. The 3ds is still trying to boot the cfw files but they are missing from the sd card as you needlessly deleted them. You need to copy them back on to the card.

Thanks. I have read that I only need to put back boot.firm. Is that true or do I need more files? because i have lost them all

Thanks a lot!! When I'm done how can I finally delete cfw? I want to start over
Why though its easier to just update what you have. Removing cfw causes more hassles than its worth.

Don't uninstall it, you'll just create further problems.

Uninstalling it is like if your car has started making noises, so you rip the engine out without knowing what you're doing. And throw all your tools in the sea. It cannot help and will make everything worse and harder to troubleshoot.

If you are having issues, either tell us here and we'll help you fix them, or post in the Noob Paradise thread.
