Is there any way I could possibly recover the 3ds with a hardmod? (I am quite experienced in soldering)
with a hard mod, you just plug it into the comuter,(you hard wire the nand flash solder points to an sd card) then use win32disk to restore or read nand. ;) I had to use this to rewrite quite a bit when making a9lh.

Nothing. just a black screen, followed all of the steps at 3DS.guide and the screen stayed black.
Adjust your techniques. See this example.
If absolutely nothing works despite accounting for:
  • microSD card formatted in the correct settings that has been tested to be free of hardware defects.
  • files placement on the SD card inserted into the n3DS, ie: sdmc:/boot.firm (renamed SafeB9SInstaller) & sdmc:/boot9strap/boot9strap.firm ( & *.firm.sha)
  • multiple attempts with flipped stronger magnets, timing holding those button combos, reinsertions of the ntrboot flashcart & microSD card, etc.
  • Replaced microSD card reader and/or game cart reader
, there's the possible you have a MCU or ARM SoC type brick. These cannot be fixed with ntrboot.
While it's technically possible to fix a MCU brick by either replacing the chip with an intact donor from another n3DS (or n3DSXL?) motherboard or even reflashing a softbricked MCU chip, a dead ARM SoC is another story.

A dead or fried ARM SoC could technically be replaced with another one from a donor n3DS(XL) motherboard with a professional rework station, but that means losing the original console unique nand files for the 3DS firmware due to encryption reasons.
Your n3DS might be (give or take) ~truly dead.
