Is it necessary to turn on native controller to use the link cable for games like wind waker? I haven’t gotten far enough to find out. Thank you!

You can use a GBA and GBA Link Cable with Nintendont?
It functions conventionally with mayflash?

The link cable uses the GBA's link communication protocols, not the GCN'S controller ones. The Mayflash adapter, being a HID device, does not support said protocols.

In other words it only works on a wii with native gc controller inputs.
