Homebrew RELEASE Kefir Updater

Kefir Updater is tool for updating kefir. Linking account it is a bonus feature. Not the main.

Kefir - it is an atmosphere (or sxos) with sigpatches and aditional software. It is an vanilla atmosphere, not hekatesphere such as kosmos. It is not a cfw. Just atmo with tools.

Guys, why do you press the button and then wonder? This is written for the kefir assembly, which is an Kosmos analogue for Russian and Ukrainian guys. Unfortunately, the programmer who wrote it for us has disappeared, and we cannot implement the link account function separately. do not touch the button, it is not for you

Here is my experience after reading a lot about kefir updater and using it into my switch .
0. Download kefir updater 3.0 >>KefirUpdater.nro <<<
1. Put this on your SD card in the switch directory
2. Create NAND backup from atmosphere (tools menu). Just in case something goes wrong.
3. Create backup from checkpoint
4. Restart and KEFIR updater should be in the homebrew menu
5. Activate internet WITH THE 90 DNS (important)
6.Start now kefir updater from homebrew
7. DO NOT PRESS THE CHECK FOR UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
7. Press Add Linked Account, and wait
8. Reboot and switch off internet access
9. Delete all old savegames
10. Start all installed games again, they will start from the beginning
11. Restore the old savegames with checkpoint
12. Switch off the switch, remove the SD card and remove the Kefirupdater.nro from the \switch directory
13. Startup in cfwemunand as you always do, change your icon and name, and be happy

Everything is now the same as before, only a nintendo account has been added.

Hope this gives some clarity to everyone who wants to add a nintendo account to his atmosphere 9.0.1

Guys I have been using a (kefir) linked account for a while now. But every now and again the linked account stops working and when I try to boot a game that requires it ie. Bloodstained. It asks to sign in again. What to do? The last time I had to go through the re linking process again. But I can't be bothered to keep backing up saves restoring etc. Is there a better workaround or has this not happened to anyone?

Guys how can I uninstall Kefir and delete all the saves. Honestly this software gave me more issues than solutions. I want to restart without resetting my emummc and reinstalling the games. Since my Switch is new, I am fine with losing all the save files.

Its made using Checkpoint and Edizon a total pain. It doesnt load up my save files properly, and half the time is crashing.

So I followed all instructions and kefir worked but my backup saves are not restoring using Checkpoint. I did not back them up with Edizon.

I deleted all saves on the system after installing Kefir, started the game, saved. closed the game. opened Checkpoint, restored the save. It looked like it worked on checkpoint. Opened the game but the save is not there.

Anyone have any tips? I am on the latest version of hekate, atmosphere, and 9.1.0

Everything worked well for me and now i have a linked false acccount, the only thing is that i loose my "game times" (for examplo:zelda 60 hours), so, you can load your past saves with checkpoint but the time is lost.

it was with an old version, i remember i wrote the same users name and then as you read here, make a new save and replace it with the old one

I would suggest to avoid this Kefir Updater, because when you update it, it installs lots of bloatware and change the main splash screen background without any notification. After all, the created account was asking for log in, the account is "linked", but a log in is needed, that is, a waste of time.

I'm running atomosphere 0.10.2 emummc 9.1.0. Switch is on 90DNS and has incognito installed. When I've installed the linked account user from kefirupdater, every time the linked account check occurs in a game, the game crashes with "The Software was closed because an error occurred". (have tried this both with games that check at startup and prompt post-game rounds). Anyone else seen this or know what might be wrong?

I've only seen that message when I wasn't running the latest firmware. Could also be something with sigpatches. I doubt it is kefir, though always check that the homebrew (kefir in this case) is supported in the CFW/FW versions that you are running.

Same issue. it is annoying some games require nintendo's linking service and this is the only way to play them. i know my saves are fine but something about this tool changes your system to a point where the saves can't restore.

I ended up figuring it out, in check point there is a square in the bottom corner select that and choose the kefir user then you should be able to upload your saves! Just make sure to start the game at least once under the kefir user

Well the way i saw the resolution is to use Edizon. That was easier to use than checkpoint.

I haven’t tried it—but couldn’t you uninstall kefir once you’ve linked the account? I saw it suggested here but haven’t seen anyone else verify

Yes you can. It's a homebrew program like any other.
